    I have a large and small one of those Clamptites. Very useful and versatile. The vender at the gun show used the large one to fasten two pieces of schedule 40 pipe together, side by side. The pressure was so great that the pipes became oval under the clamp instead of round. Easily as strong as any other clamp and easy to remove.

    I twist a bit of copper wire on the hose, maybe two or three individual twists. Not nearly as sophisticated as yours but I only have pliers and copper wire to hand.
