Also White Guard charged attack range is INSANE. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarifications. Some of the descriptions are a bit vague and don't tell everything. I was finding out today about his range also. I'll definitely start utilizing it more.
@@onesmartcatI agree 100%! Description in the characters are all vague. I have both gold badges on Wu, you played super well. some tips I have are both forms’ hitboxes linger for longer than most hunters, white guard’s more than black, so pallet mindgame is a bit easier. white guard charged attack is 5.56m long, basically a nemesis tentacle whip. also soul siphon prevents all interactions (vaulting, dropping pallet and rescue) for 10 seconds. black guard bell prevents interactions and abilities too. for the duration of the skill check, no puppets or stuns 🤣 along with all interactions.
i'm not sure if you've noticed yet or not but there's a radar at the top left corner which is very useful for hunters as it shows you red dots whenever there's a survivor in your vicinity which can be helpful if you don't see them on your screen yet. @@onesmartcat yeah it always flashes when a survivor gets inside its range you don't have to always be near it for it to work, i belive the Hell Ember Hunter's puppets also function similarly
So white Guard (The one you spawn as) can soul siphon, which makes survivors unable to vault or rescue teammates. Has a LONG charge hit (which embarrassingly enough got me in situations where I'm the early chair at 5 ciphers lol) Black guard is the one that you have to constantly use bell for, because he's slow at chasing. Player need to do a calibration, and if they don't successfully their controls gets mix up. W is S, A is D, S is W, and D is A. And yes, it very funny when it happens, you can stare at them for a few moments because you know they're panicking. Which makes it really funny (Did it once and the survivor I was chasing paused and did their little spin on the floor) All their skills can be seen as effects, like siphon being green and the reverse being the blue arrows.

Ooo i love playing Wu Chang. He's my top used hunter right now! Theres one thing that i feel not many people do as Wu Chang, but when it comes to hitboxes my favorite way to use it is White Guard: Charge - Attacking as normal Normal - Pallet mindgames Black Guard - Charged - Pallet mindgames Normal - Attacking as normal Normally because white guards normal attack and black guards charged attack have a delay that can hit survivors through the pallet or catch them off guard before they can drop the pallet

See that coffin icon on Enchantress' icon top right? Whenever a survivor have that, that means she will be rescued automatically and revived somewhere far away at the coffin place the Embalmer place them (we can only see the coffin's place for a few seconds when the embalmed survivor turn black and there's countdown on that survivor's top right icon--after you chair them or downed them (they can choose when to embalmed themselves or declined embalmed to save for later). Good news tho, after the Embalmer choose someone to embalm except imself, he can't change it. So it's better so chase the Embalmer instead and kill him so the coffin effect would disappear (or when the cipher already pop, chase away the Emalmer waiting at the gate so the remaining survivors can't get revived at the gate or dungeon). Careful tho, we might not see the coffin icon until last second cause the Embalmer is waiting for the right time to embalm someone cause the Hunter might change target like when I hase someone, suddenly one second before I chair them/down them, they have the coffin icon 😭 14:37 Wow you made it! @onesmartcat That's cool! Good for you! He's pretty fun to play, he's pretty heavy on chase, fitting with your playstyle, good luck with your rank journey, it's a bumpy road ahead
Im still watching but here's a fun fact: Pupeteer cant be healed by other survivors unless he's been downed. But he can heal himself by healing others (he heals real slow tho).
You did pretty well as them. As a Wu Chang main I’m glad to see someone play them and I thought I would give some tips with his umbrella. First tip to really jump scare people if you know the spawns of the maps it’s fun to teleport right to the cypher they’re on if they don’t expect it might get a TS, you can also throw the umbrella and not teleport with F if you do this the umbrella will float in a area and you can see the aura of survivors if they step in the area. Also remember white aka xie the one you spawn as has a bigger hit box and black aka fan has a shorter hit box but is faster with attack.
your welcome I’m glad I was able to help keep up the good work you’re doing great as hunter. Wu is a fun hunter to play once you really get into them especially if you play aggressive like getting those on point teleports they just feel great 👌
by the way, the white form's long attack hitbox is the 2nd largest of the entire game so you can abuse that to get hits from afar. and the black guard has the 2nd worst hitbox of the game lmao, its really one or the other
Oh cool, a hunter I know slightly more about! Did you know that you can Soul Ciphon survivors out of getting dungeon? It's brutal. Very few hunters can actually prevent you from getting dungeon like that, so it's very interesting that he's one. (Undead can move dungeon, Goatman/Mad Eyes can block Dungeon, and Gamekeeper can place traps ontop of dungeon). Wu Chang is definitely a hyper aggressive hunter, like Geisha or other chase hunters your camp *is* your chase. You basically just start chasing the rescuer and if you soul ciphon them before they can even get to the chair the rescue is hyper stuffed. Peepers is a good option for him too since I feel like Peepers is just a good option for most chase hunters.
Absolutely you should, He's a fun hunter to watch to because he requires a lot of skill to master imho, since he's all about your chase and that's for sure one of the harder parts of being hunting (but also the most rewarding?)
i love wu changs playstyle, i wish they was still viable in mid to high tier bc at my level everybody knows how to kite them so i could never properly get into them bc i played only 3 hunters (nightmare, ripper and gamekeeper) all the way into higher levels so now everyone knows how to beat me if I'm not using them lmaoo

There will still be more DBD videos. I still play and record it. I also put all my videos into playlists. I think the DBD one is at 70+ videos if you ever want to get crazy.
Aaah. Gotcha. Yeah, I really like hunters that can get around the map. Plus the skill expression with the umbrella definitely has a high ceiling. Fun ability.
I still remember my first two times going against wu. During my first match against him we were winning, but when the gate opened he was somehow already standing on the other side. I will never forget that jumpscare XD. And the second time, I still have no idea how that ability works, but he hit me with something and the game was showing me that all my teammates were dead (they were not), I couldn't interact with any objects and there were multiple wu changs attacking me. I was freaking out, had no idea that was an ability of his 😂
wu chang player here to tell you that's the white guard ability! whenever white guard successfully sucks out the survivor's soul in full (the 'whoosh' ability where he chases you faster), then that survivor can't interact with objects (i.e. pallets, cipher machines, windows) and their screen shows what you saw, everyone 'dead' and whatnot
@@rw1214 Ah right thanks very much for the explanation! I'll add the objects thing back to my comment. I couldn't remember whether it was that I couldn't interact with objects or that there were multiple wu changs trying to hit me lol.

I knew you would enjoy Wuchang considering how you always changing target a lot. And looks like you really like the umbrella teleport a lot. Some tips, white guard has a very long charged attack range. Slightly shorter than Hastur but still long. It's easy to Flywheel it but if they don't it feels like he can hit you from 20 meters away 😅. Just keep that in mind because in your gameplay, there's a lot of scenario where you could get the hit with the white guard if you use charged attack.
Yeah, I wasn't aware how far it actually goes. I'll definitely use it more now. I'm still getting used to the fact that different hunters have different hitboxes. Wasn't a thing in DBD. Does anyone have a video about hitboxes or is the information anywhere?
@onesmartcat oh yeah, I forgot all killers in DBD has the same range on their M1 and charged attack is basically a lunge. I'm sure there are a lot of videos out there that show the differences on hitboxes for each hunter. However, the one on TH-cam seems like they have not catch up to the recently released hunters. I've seen some of them on TikTok but I don't think I can find that one anymore... Sorry about that 😅
I once fought a wu Chang and he had to directly on my cypher I got a jump scare lucky it wasn’t a terror shock I love his abilities and him as a character I wish they buffed him some how so he isn’t that bad in the current meta😢
Wu Chang is very fun the duality is very interesting to play with The timing and accuracy are very important tho But getting good at it makes him very scary
just one tips for using wu chang. u have to abuse his white guard lunge basic attack (holding m1). because the white guard is the second hunter that have the fartest hitbox in idv. fyi the first hunter that have the fartest hitbox goes to feaster, both basic attack and lunge attack.
Yeah, I'll definitely use it more now. I'm still getting used to the fact that different hunters have different hitboxes. Wasn't a thing in DBD. Does anyone have a video about hitboxes or is the information anywhere?
Wu chang is definitely one of my favorite characters but playing them in higher tiers is more difficult unfortunately…. Wu changs backstory is interesting too but also pretty sad
I hate how everyone ignores wu chang now . He’s a very complicated hunter and his early game is pretty weak but he can be a total monster if played correctly .
His umbrella green area can be used more since u teleport a lot faster when ur umbrella floating, you can close gap between you and surv by throwing umbrella at the opposite side of window/pallet if they didn't aware u can fast tele and fast hit after tele make them hard to react so surv will just wait for that umbrella to ran out or u call ur umbrella back which close the gap between u and them.
Can u try Dream Mommy Please!!!🥺🥺🥺🙏🙏🙏 I havent seen u play as Dream Witch!!! She is my main! She is really unique with her abilities! And trust me! U might get a headache playing as her! Its like 5 computer screens while u control what to do!!! Because she acts like a hive mind to her followers

wu chang player here to tell you that's the white guard ability! whenever white guard successfully sucks out the survivor's soul in full (the 'whoosh' ability where he chases you faster), then that survivor can't interact with objects (i.e. pallets, cipher machines, windows) and their screen shows what you saw, everyone 'dead' and whatnot
WTF. That's cool. I didn't know that happens. I like him more now.
@@rw1214 Ah right thanks very much for the explanation! I'll add the objects thing back to my comment. I couldn't remember whether it was that I couldn't interact with objects or that there were multiple wu changs trying to hit me lol.
@@onesmartcat I forgot it until i watched this video, I haven't gone against Wu chang in soooo long. I hope you get to go against one someday and see how horrifying his ability is. I couldn't even tell which wu Chang was the real one XD
@@onesmartcat Oh yeah and another cool thing is that when the survivor does that twitch animation, they struggle to control their character because their character moves in opposite directions for a short amount of time. It happens when they fail the calibration I think.
Less cool down on his main power would make him better, but it's honestly a pretty strong ability.
Wu Chang is very fun the duality is very interesting to play with
The timing and accuracy are very important tho
But getting good at it makes him very scary
Figuring out the umbrella distance has been tough.
@onesmartcat yeah but I am sure practicing on it will make calculating the distance pretty intuitive
just one tips for using wu chang. u have to abuse his white guard lunge basic attack (holding m1). because the white guard is the second hunter that have the fartest hitbox in idv.
fyi the first hunter that have the fartest hitbox goes to feaster, both basic attack and lunge attack.
Yeah, I'll definitely use it more now. I'm still getting used to the fact that different hunters have different hitboxes. Wasn't a thing in DBD. Does anyone have a video about hitboxes or is the information anywhere?

U can watch it there
Wu chang is definitely one of my favorite characters but playing them in higher tiers is more difficult unfortunately…. Wu changs backstory is interesting too but also pretty sad
I don't know their backstory, but most of the stories I've heard have been sad, lol.
You should try playing some of the violent strugle gamemodes. Especially Duo or Blackjack which are fun for hunters
I've done a couple of duo games. Still been focusing on the main game mode, but I think I'll be branching out more soon.
You should make a video reacting to the new coa 8 trailer!
What is COA? Is it an event? or the next chapter? I'm confused.
@ its a very big idv event, look “Identity V COA VIII Desolate”. The trailer is actually so good
I hate how everyone ignores wu chang now . He’s a very complicated hunter and his early game is pretty weak but he can be a total monster if played correctly .
I agree. I think he's pretty fun.
I luv playing wuchang but sadly his early game very sad for him, only have jumpscare and closing gap umbrella.
You can walk to them but can't hit unless u call ur umbrella back.
I need to experiment with it more.
Love your IDV gameplays dude, keep it up 😎❤️
Please play Hulabaloo next (he's a difficult hunter to use tho, so use him at your own risk) 😂
I have one video of when I first got him, but I definitely need to put more time into him.
