Quoted to repair. I gave them the correct Model and told them TO REPLACE FAN FORCE ELEMENTS AND I wanted a Smeg serviceman because i am willing to pay more than I was quoted by a local man to be $165 inclusive of parts. Smeg did not inform me that it actually get a 3rd party for the repair. The service man turn up from Alantin services (who i think also icontrct our to some locales as his ?) Within few seconds he said too heavy, I need it need two persons.. When i told him I did gave the model number and he should know the oven. he said "they did not tell me" The orginal bill quote was $$135 labour plus parts $115 which I am happy to pay. but on the return visit I was charge: SERVICE $135 x 2, LABOUR AND TESTING $30 x 2, LABOUR AND TESTING $60.(They did not test at all) HE NOT EVEN TURN THE OVEN ON AND NO TESTING AT ALL. i HAVE TO TO SAID TO HIM " let me turn on to see if it is ok" the whole process took less than 20 minutes Total bill $532.40 I expert full excess refund , I am willing to pay only$135 =$115 So refund or I may go to VCAT or expalin in full why testing $30x2 plus a lifter $135 Quote No33693 @@bloblyblo
The worst oven ever! When the light bulb stops working, all the functions stop working as well! The display gives error 9,7 and 5. It has been like this since it was brand new. We tried buying the same bulbs and replacing them ourselves but nothing changes. The oven needs to go to the maintenance for a couple of weeks to get it fixed. Then they charge us a big amount of money for changing the bulbs only as they claim! If the issue was only about a bulb why don't they change it at our house instead of taking the whole oven! It has factory defects in the wiring and electronics. We contacted the mother company several times but they did absolutely nothing! Big disappointment 😞

Don’t buy these Smeg. The electronics in them is BAD.
