    You can’t go to Hong Kong now due to vivid restrictions if you’re unvaccinated but you can just cross the oak st bridge to Richmond and experience “Hong Kong” in our very own back yard of Richmond BC

    Grew up in Vancouver, haven’t set foot in Richmond for more than 10 years. Food looks legit! Some of the places I used to frequent are no longer around, but this sure brings up memories!
    Are you Taiwanese?

    Richmond is great for asian food obviously because of the high concentration of asians there... but don't forget the greater vancouver area even if you have to go to places like actual downtown Vancouver or Burnaby or what not

    suggestion.. put the list and info in the description textbox area.. it improves your TH-cam channeling and ranking

    any videos or recommendations on the best sushi/sashimi restaurants in Richmond or Vancouver?

    • @goosenuggets3273
      @goosenuggets3273  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom Tommy If you’re visiting Vancouver Miku, Minami (higher priced) are pretty easy to get to by skytrain in downtown Vancouver and are pretty famous sushi places.
      Raisu, octopus garden and green leaf sushi are also pretty good and are less pricy in Vancouver Kitsilano area.
      Generally I wouldn’t suggest you to eat sushi in Richmond.

    Chef Tony is too pretentious along with the other on this list. I'm more into the down to earth comfort restaurants over style and decor.

    You've been in Richmond for far too long, I understand the loyalty. Be kind to yourself, and head to Toronto & Markham with both classical & and high-end dim sum places in 2024. It will change your opinion fairly quickly on where to have the best dim sum in North America without any doubts.

    Yuck! I found the food at Chef Tony's to be disgusting. They like to splash over-powering black truffle oil liberally over otherwise traditional dishes. Very disappointing.
    I'll try Kirin next.

    • @goosenuggets3273
      @goosenuggets3273  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? Ya if you don’t like Chef Tony’s style, which is more modern twist, I know you will like Kirin. Because Kirin is more traditional taste.

    The best dim sum in North America is still in San Francisco/Bay Area (Sunset or Richmond district). I'd probably rate Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley) number 2. Don't get me wrong the Vancouver spots you named are pretty decent but the other 2 still tops it for me.
