- Straightforward guide to killing Vardorvis in OSRS using as few braincells as possible. I forgot to mention, if using the Fang, use it on Slash attack style. Make sure to download the Better NPC Highlight plugin from Runelite's Plugin Hub. Enable "True Tile Highlight" and type in 12225, 12227 in the "True Tile IDs" field. Enable "Hull Highlight" and type in Vardorvis' Head in the "Hull Names" field. Ground Markers below:

Thanks for the whisperer guide and this guide. One thing I did notice is you mentioned sounds, so I think for future guides it would be an added bonus if you could add the sounds to your video so we have an idea of what we're supposed to be looking out for (like the head popping up, etc.)
EDIT: Thanks I just did my first run with this guide, the tiles were extremely helpful, and I did hear the sound that you were talking about, which helps a ton

just now seeing this for the first time. I ended up splitting a shadow drop and gonna be investing into alot of high end pvm items, and seeing these guides motivates me to do the DT2 bosses more than a few times.

3:31 nice save, you clicked the right tile originally, but rerouted to the left one. The thing I like about this boss is that when you understand the mechanics, it’s extremely predictable.

I have the RuneLite plugin "Stretched Mode" enabled and just shrunk my client window so that the inventory took up more space 😅 there's probably a more elegant way to do it but this worked in a pinch. Thanks for watching!!

Any idea why my Better NPC Highlighter doesnt highlight the axes until they are already flying. Makes it very hard to dodge the ones that spawn underneath me....

I don`t know i can do it i struggle way to much with keeping my health up and switching the prayers seems impossible
@@FluffyMugiLand one way to practice is to just go in with only food, don't even bother attacking, and try to do the axe mechanic and survive as long as you can. Once you've got that down, turn on game sounds and try to do axes and the magic prayer switch. Then finally put it all together and attack. You can do it, I believe in you!!

All of these DT2 bosses are a big jump in difficulty from other post quest bosses, it took me a bunch of attempts before I could get nerves out of the way. Just keep slamming your head against the wall and you can do it, I believe in you!

There are times when stand on any of those squares and still get hit by axes.
Right you will sometimes have all three axes on the bottom row, someone else mentioned that when that happens you can click a diagonal marked tile and run back to the middle marked tile and it will dodge them. Thanks for watching!

Whisperer is the only one I can’t fucking get- post-quest. I learned Leviathan in like 20 minutes. Vardorvis is easy once mechanics are learned. Duke is literally brainless. Whisperer keeps getting me, though.

what are you supposed to do if an axe spawns under you and beside each corner, just accept death?
Yeah if three axes spawn under you and each corner next to you, just take the hit. One hit with an axe won't KO you, I took an axe to the face in this video 😅 thanks for watching!
If you're quick you can switch to a perpendicular safe spot (if you're south, run to the west or east)

you run out and back in with out losing a tick. you take no damage. can run one tick after the axe spawns underneath you. You skip both axes by going out and in instantly

Most importantly, do not even start this boss without near max gear, a tentacle whip won't do the trick unfortunately. :/
Ah man, yeah I did story mode in budget gear with a tent whip but his defense is super high & I didn't try tent whip post quest. The fang is so nice for this. Thanks for watching!
@@ZZerkZZerk I'm an iron using a tent with full bandos/tort/prims etc and...honestly he's right, even at 99 att/str tent is garbage here. It's okay if you want to TRY the boss, or if you're just getting the tablet, but I'd strongly recommend not grinding long-term with it. Kills are literally twice as fast with a fang.
I did this boss day one and ended up finishing him in guthans, dscimmy and the rest of my ironman welfare gear couldn't do it.
What is the heads number?

What’s your 117 settings dude??
Not sure exactly what all I changed since it was so long ago, but I remember setting these:
Saturation: 120%
Contrast: 90%
Brightness: 30
Everything else is turned on and cranked up to the max. Hope that helps!

It does have a steep learning curve but the good news is it's a shorter fight than most others so you can keep throwing attempts at it until it clicks! Copying my advice from another comment - one way to practice is to just go in with only food, don't even bother attacking, and try to do the axe mechanic and survive as long as you can.
