Hello i hope all is going well bro. I had been shopping for a few months on various skid steers myself. I had the opportunity to demo several machines for a week at a time. In the end it was down to the cat 259D3 and the bobcat T595. I had both machines at my home for the week. It was really hard to decide honestly which one to buy they both had pretty much the same options. But in the end i decided to go with the bobcat. Reason being the bobcat was faster and it is one of the fastest on the market if not the fastest. Plus the ride was more comfortable and the cab was quieter than the cat. The warranty in Indiana was also better for the bobcat than the cat. I also got the led light kit from bobcat for the sides man you talk about seeing whats going on around you its like a spaceship! It makes it nice you can go to bobcats website and type in the the T595 and compare all competitors specs side by side. I have a lot of friends that have been in different manufactures like cat and many others to get the low down on the good and the ugly about different machines. it boiled down to the cat and bobcat over any other i tested. I know a lot of people are stuck on equipment like trucks but i like seeking out the best to have the best regardless on the name. The only thing that surprised me bobcat did not have bluetooth on the machine. I went online and picked up the same radio plug and play with bluetooth for $130.00 problem solved.I also am glad i got the sidetracks installed. I hope this may help you out a little bit take your time and good luck bro!
one thing Cat has On Bobcat is Anti-Stall drive motors that gives Cat an advantage in pushing power or digging force and pushing dirt, Its really a major advantage. Kubota skids also have the Anti-Stall drive motors. Kubota's anti-stall is more aggressive than Cats anti-stall. The t595 is already out dated as a machine in general, but hey you can always buy t66 and it's just a copy cat of Cat
@@dankruger2890 t66 and s76 on order with clear sided cab . Sold one of my t595. Sold my s595 to someone that's willing to wait until s76 arrives. Cant wait ! Keeping one of my t595 for now
yep heard the same thing from lots of guys. The only thing is the options that I am looking for Gehl does not have out yet. I'll go into detail later on, thanks.
I got to demo a 3200VT and the ass end on that thing was incredible. Not to mention the lift power. I lifted a full stack of OSB That was wet and it lifted it up no Problem. * EDIT* I also got to demo a CAT 289 and that machine was not even comparable to the lift Power that the gehl had.
I think Takeuchi used to make Gehl & Mustang track skidsteers. Not sure if that's still going on. If not Gehl took some design ideas from Tak, like the door opening up & in instead of swinging out.
I had a Gehl 6410 skidsteer loader. Mine was on tires,..I wish I had the tracks though. I used it mostly for snow clearing, and for me, that's where it shines! Have you thought about a Takeuchi, I hear from a few guys that love their's.
That's cool one. Looks like it has a short wheelbase, you might say. Being 6'5" you need more leg room, hopefully the others fit you better. That 'Upstate Brush Control'in NY and 'Stanley "The Dirt Monkey" Genadek' in MN, both channels said the ASV rides the nicest By Far, as compared to other machines. Good Luck and Have Fun Testing.
You should be able to make a ton of side money with the mini x and a ctl. I did handyman work for 20years. Bought a e32 last summer haven't done any handyman work since. All machine work.
Joe, if you're looking for good quality and great ride, look at the ASV 75. They have boggie wheels and any skid steer under 75 hp does not need a DPF. they only need the DEF.
The ASV 75 is also powered by Cummins. I hear the CATS are powered by re-branded Kubota engines and some parts out of Japan. Not 100% sure about the info on the CAT, but that's what I heard.
@@calvinh.8882 Only the large equipment has Cummins engines, the smaller ones have Deutz engines. But the larger ones have plastic engine covers while the smaller has metal.
I didn't realize the 75 had the bogie suspension. That definitely changes things. I'll have to demo a 75. I assume the power and ride is better over a VT70, which I was not impressed with in the least bit.
Sounds like a ncie machine, Kap. I think you'll like having this. How does your back and hips feel after operating the Gehl? Full-watch. Have a fine weekend.
We'll see how things go. Back has been rough lately anyway because I'm behind on my back ablation, the VA screwed me again... But its scheduled soon. Not too bad though after the ride.
@@kapperoutdoors Hope you can get the back ablation procedure done soon. The cold, wet weather seems to take more of a toll on ones bones and joints. Enjoyed your video and hope you're able to get the Gehl. Say hey to Mrs K. Later. Oh, BTW...did you ever consider a gel-pad seat? It absorbs some of the downward pressure on your spine. I have one for one of my seats and it seems ok.
Gotta say, rear-view camera on the cats are pretty garbage. Sure, it's a nice to have, but as uncomfortable as it may be to crank your head around, the better rear visibility on the GEHL makes you a lot safer than trying to see through that tiny screen, especially when the sun is at the wrong angle.
Funny you should comment today! I have not been in my bobcat for a few months, but only today just had to do some gravel work on hills and a very narrow road! part of the time I trusted the camera, but more than half the time I preferred to look back and see it for myself! Thanks
Comfort is the asv, cat only makes good large equipment, their compact stuff is basic for options they only just did digital displays . Gehl shouldn't even be in the running for anything, same with case. Bobcat is great, kubota, takeuchi, deere.

Very good info, and yes I test drove the T595. Will be interesting to see what happens! Thanks for the feedback!

We have a Gehl 6640 skid steer and it has been a great machine! They are good value
Glad to see a PCO on your vlog! He is a really good friend to have once the formosans start to get heavy up there.
That door is great. I had one that had to be closed to be operated. It sucked

Dude. Try bobcat. For sure. Cabs are way bigger. And they got all the options.
That's a nice skid steer! The Kubota and Takeuchi Skid steers also have the roll up door, which is a feature that I prefer.
I almost bought the same machine from Greg abbots in jackson when I got mine. They are nice machines. I went with the john deere 325G. Love it so far.
Best of luck, dealer support is a big deal with any machine! Hope it serves you well! Thanks
At my farm we JUST BOUGHT a 2021 gehl r220 and it is very nice
Congratulations, it should serve you well.
Thanks I really like it so far, big upgrade from our 5640
Kubota svl75 is what I have own since 2015. Great machine!

I dont think asv has a dealer in the area. And Id sure like to demo one of the 75 ho machines
i like the track adjustment on that thing, Thats a nice option to have. But it was loud
Agreed, but in the CAT today it seemed pretty loud. Have to compare the video clips. Thanks
We have a Kubota 75-2 and a Bobcat T-595 at the farm... T-595 hands down!!!!
Finally nice to hear from someone who actually has both!!!! Thanks!

So who is the true manufacturer of that straight up bottom cuz. Geil , yanmar and. Few years ago techuchi all were identical made machine
Can I assume the attachments are all universal, ie brush cutters etc and would also hook right up to the Gehl..
Not true, the electronics and hydraulics would need to be matching. But the physical 'skid steer quick attach' those are universal across the board.
Due to the torsion bar axles and boogie wheels the ASV 75 is the smoothest ride you will find. Test have been done and they beat Cat and Bobcat.
The Cat multi-terrian tracks are identical to the ASV track system.
The tracks on the 257 are not the same. There are some models that are and they are actually ASV tracks and suspension.
