  • We are robotics team LitBot 100 from Kaunas, Lithuania. This year our team won national FLL competition in Lithuania, thus we are going to represent Lithuania in the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas. This video shows one of our practice matches of our robot on the mission field and the robot is capable of scoring 410 points in under 2:20.

Hello guys! We are a new team in FLL. Can you give us programming advice?

It's hard to condense the information down to a single response, but here are some general tips:
      - If you are programming using blocks, You should learn to make myblocks for common functions using the gyro for accuracy and consistency.
      - Think through an effective strategy on how to complete as many tasks as possibe.
      - For longer runs, have certain spots in your runs where you can get the position of the robot exactly where it needs to be (like aligning by a wall or by a task).
      - This may be more to the construction side of things, but If you don't already, try using passive attachments (that don't use motors) to compete as many missions as possible.
      - For more advanced programming, like in this video, we used pybrics micropython, but I wouldn't recommend this without prior programming experience in a text based programming language.
      - Making blocks that can do two things simultaneously (like driving and moving an attachment with a motor) can be useful in many cases.
If you have any further/more concrete questions, feel free to ask.

It was nice meeting you in Houston.
Thanks for the explanation about your runs and the mechanism used to switch the motor connection for the accessory

Just wondering, is your machine part for the water turbine mission legal?
