I forgot how cool the lighting effects in DK64 looked. The way the crystals light up the area, and the glow from the fireballs and electricity. Looks pretty great.
This was always my favorite boss battle of the game. The way he flees in both battles when things take an unfavorable turn for him will always make me laugh!
same! imo you had too much HP to fight him with. If you only fought him with 2 watermelons I could see this being a tough fight for the kiddos at least!

This game was definitely a showcase of N64's graphical capabilities. Too bad the gameplay was generally not up to snuff.

He's the only boss that, even as a child, I beat without ever losing.
