This telescope inspired me getting into astronomy back in 1986 when i watched the tv seriesVoyager ..the most memorable part where Carl Sagan walked into this observatory at night,...opened the dome shutter...accompanied by the music from Gustav Holst ,..Mars ,.. and moved this telescope towards mars,... Beautiful... Hope to visit this observatory one day,..

Curious how many people it took to put this telescope together and set it up without cranes in 1894?
They must have sweating when handling that double lens. I know I would have been.
