The whole buying weapons and having to pick what you bring to your missions brings me back to the blood money days on the xbox 360. I absolutely love this mode
@@IsUserADuck Yes they did, it’s because the line the mission comes from, Massacre at the Cheung Chau fish restaurant (also known as The Seafood Massacre in the contracts version), is the fourth mission in Codename 47, and as such you need level 4 of mastery to unlock the bathroom
The banana is actually overpowered in this gamemode. I'm not kidding. Just place (don't drop or throw) a banana on the ground in front of a courier, steal their lunch money, then run like hell. You can do this in the middle of a crowded location and you won't become suspicious unless you stick around.
I think it's pretty fair. Half the couriers seem to be placed in locations where it would be virtually impossible to knock them out unnoticed. I remember once there was a courier that literally just walked back and forth the same 15-foot path and was surrounded by like 8 assorted guards and NPCs staring toward the center area. So, you know, don't feel bad about the cheese. Embrace the cheese, because the game seems to encourage it at times.
@@SkeleTonHammer I spent a stupidly long time trying to figure out how to take out the courier in Sapienza. He just paced the same area and there was always at least one person around. I finally decided I couldn't be bothered. I ended up failing that mission and the entire damn set thanks to bungling the whole identifying suspects part, lol.
@@SkeleTonHammer sometimes cheese is necessary, hit em with a sieker or a kalmer lol. Kalmer has the same result as the banana, just run up and grab the cash right in front of everyone, they won’t care!

@@TheRagnus I haven't done that one in Freelancer yet. Is it still possible to get the Point Man disguise? That's my go-to disguise when I run that level normally since absolutely no one notices 47 unless he goes to the mansion (which I don't do since the masked guy goes into that little shed).

i love these because hitman is such a mold-able game and so many different situations occur that opportunities for animations are endless, whenever one of these comes out it’s always a blessing especially as no other hitman content like this exists
It really IS something else than the games XD It really gives the vibes of being an OG assassin, losing everything if you die, having to get creative with how to eliminate or knockout targets, starting from scratch when you start the game instead of having stuff, etc. etc. Noice animation too!
Been looking back on your catalog and damn, this is a level of quality I'd expect from a big-name American animation house, far surpasses what I'd expect for a lowly X-Files and Hitman shitposter. That's to say, love what you're doing!
Literally the worst thing that's happened to me in Freelancer is I didn't know I had a proximity explosive on me and when I had no weapons to take down a few guards I ended up chucking it at the guard in front of me and me thinking it was a remote explosive, went to go pick it up only to hear the damn thing click and explode. Luckily I wasn't on a yellow level but that still royally pissed me off
@@Feat_ I feel like there wouldn't be much of a difference just more patience but you get screwed over more if you somehow mess up even though I feel like most of the times it's bs and unluckiness but you lose all of it on hardcore? Honestly rarely had to purchase anything but I was so close to finishing my campaign.
@@wealthybone2990 hardcore mode requires you to do the prestige objectives, it’s quite a bit differently honestly. Most of the time I disregard the prestige objectives unless they aren’t a real pain

My biggest bug-bear with Freelancer at the moment (aside from the times where it feels unfair, and times when it legitimately is unfair), is that I constantly forget to grab a prestige objective. I think it would be better if they changed it from a confirmation box on leaving for a mission to a choice of the available objectives and an option to not prestige. Rather than a bland dialogue box thats easily ignored.

Yup. Too many times have Carriers be the cause of me failing a mission or failing the whole campaign. I've learned to just ignore them if they are a risk in any way because it ain't worth it. So much risk for +/- 1k Merces
I love it, but I also have gone back to Dark Souls 3 as it's currently being nicer to me than this mode. I made it to the final stage of the very first set of locations, but then I proceeded to really screw up with the 4 suspects. It turned out to be definitely not the one that I was so certain it was. Whoops. What I did learn is to pick the locations I like the least/am the worst at for the easier bits, and to save the locations I like and know better for the more difficult identifying suspects part.
The random items in the ICA containers still don't make any sense. You wouldn't need to sneak in a jug of water, a fire extinguisher, earphones or a banana into a place like that. They should have the regular ICA gear that Diana offers you between missions, but maybe only have one or two cases per mission. That would make way more sense. Then just put that random junk around the map, since none of it is illegal or particularly dangerous on its own.
Freelancer is a perfect blend of tense, immensely satisfying, and absolutely anger-inducing.

Colorado is brutal in freelancer. That said, it becomes equally easy to cheese if you have a silenced sniper rifle and can make it to the water tower.

@@SolaScientia Yes, the disguise is still obtainable. Unless you get hit by bad rng, most of the time the targets should be outdoors walking around.
