Honestly he's lucky he was a teen when his dad left he at least was older and able to see it coming. I mean i know it's not great losing your dad my dad left right after i was born and my step dad cheated on my mum when i was 10 but at least he didn't have to have it explained to him why his dad disapeared for months and was never coming back
Nope, I don't think believe he did. Lukas has made it clear in other songs/intervies that he had a great relationship to his dad. So it would be a little strange for him to make a song like this. But who knows :s

I think that was the past. After all he is committed to his high school girlfriend and they are expecting a child together. They are very excited
