Dave, I have to speak out on this weirdo "ship" stuff about the BTS guys hugging each other at the enlistment ceremony. The people who think there's something "sexually hidden" going on have NEVER been around Black men to see them when they greet or say goodbye to each other. Good grief, people! If you look at the original videos of the hugs between V and Junghook, they execute a typical Black men's handshake which goes as follows, 1. Grab each other's hands as in a regular handshake. 2. Rotate the hands upwards laterally and while bending the arms at the elbows. 3. Pull each other in close until both chests meet. 4. Lower each chin simultaneously into each other's shoulder or neck. 5. Take the other free hand and slap each other on the back reassuringly. (optional step) 6. Whisper to each other something like, "Props to you man!" or "Hey man!". 7. Release from the hug and separate bodies. That's it! Duh! And that's exactly what the BTS guys were doing as they said goodbye/good luck to each other when RM and V saluted and were inducted. THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE GOING ON! Jay-Z, Drake, J Cole... would've hugged them the same way. Does this mean all these men are sexually attracted to each other? Get real! HYBE's staff probably removed the hugs from the video to stop nutcases from blasting their weirdo "ship" ideas about the highly emotional moment for the BTS guys. Come on, people! Get a grip! I hope that ARMY fans really take these "shippers/ships" to task for this bad faith gossiping less than 48 hours after BTS stepped away to serve their country. BTS's fan base is multicultural, multi-gendered, and international. Fans really need to understand what that means. It means the BTS guys are spending time with a lot of different people and embracing (pun intended) cultural norms from other men they are meeting outside of Korea. Didn't these 7 guys start their careers as kid rappers where they emulated parts of Black culture? Don't they still hang out with Black musicians, icons, and fans when they work and party? What the hell? Stop the nonsense, everyone. What will BTS think when they read about this craziness upon their return in 2025? Reflect on that for minute. Then go do something more productive like keeping their music at the top of the charts or planning celebrations for their much-awaited return.💜

Head shape, skin tone, body proportion and weight, style....very hard to please all that. I am not a fan of everyone looking similar , as we are all different by our body features and character. To be yourself, the best version of yourself is good enough for me, what we carry within is often more valuable than the outside. Big respect to artists who made their own beauty standards and encouraged younger followers to do the same, like Hwasa. As for all the shippers, this is very bad timing to find validation of your thoughts watching their good byes. Military is not a holiday or a gay cruise ship. If you really cared about these idols, for once put them first, try to see a bigger picture, be tactfull and do not make a mockery of them and their service.
I have been to Korea several times and have several good friends. Yes, there is a section of Koreans that is more than addicted to how they look. Unfortunately, their "stars" can hardly live normally, they are expected to look perfect, and this is then transferred to part of the population. Some of my friends fell into that trap, and others are ordinary people, who are beautiful people even without make-up and cosmetic surgery. We mostly have information about the suicides of famous people, but there is plenty of that among the "normal" population as well. The struggle for a job and a good place is also something that very often destroys many people. But I honestly love Korea and Koreans, my friends say I'm Korean in disguise lol.

I see pics at times showing someone kissing someone usually BTS members. I find these pics very irritating simply because you can never believe what you are seeing with this new AI technology. This technology can make anything seem real. You also see videos that appear to be one of the BTS members but later find out it was only look alikes--not one of the members. This is about making money or getting likes. People we are going to have to get wiser to these tactics. It would not surprise me if all of the BTS members are straight. I do think they have very close friendships almost like family. I do not think the company did the BTS members any favors by letting these ships take place. In the beginning it might have been fun and games but this is no longer the case. It is serious now and should be stopped. That is just my opinion.

Rumors and conjecture have abounded around movie stars, pop stars and famous people in almost any profession you can think of since forever! Ultimately it’s not really anyone’s concern other than the people it involves. I’ve have seen this type of fan behavior over and over again throughout my life. To threaten someone because of who they do or don’t love is cruel and pretty sick on top of it. In society we have seen stars stalked and threatened because of a fan’s unrealistic expectations. My question is would you really want to see someone you admire and support go through this. These guys have their own personal and private lives separate from BTS. Just as people are not privy to everything in your private life you are not privy to theirs. You see snippets of what may or may not be a reality. If JK and V love each other good for them. If they don’t that’s fine too. Enjoy your idols for the talent they share with the world. Yes it’s fun to muse about their private life but it should be no more than that. I'm a bit of an older person and I watch these BTS videos over and over for fun because the guys are funny and cute. I don't take V and JK relationship videos seriously because I think these videos are only made so that the creators can make money from them. I don't mind if it's decent. But I can't stand them insulting these talented guys. I see nothing but friendship and play in V and JK's relationship. They are cute. It is not unusual for friends to hug and kiss each other. You love a friend like a brother, and brothers hug and kiss each other. Everyone attacking HYBE is funny to me. But maybe some people are attacking HYBE because they are afraid that fans will no longer believe in a romantic relationship between V and JK. We int.fans have been taught for years about skinship of men in Korea,which seemed peculiar to us at first, but we learned to accept it. We have seen them and Wooga Squad, grown men, cuddle and sleep in the same bed, hugg, kiss each other on the head, touch thighs and more. Why would one hug now make such a difference? Maybe that was all there was, a short hugg in all that commotion, nothing else.
Some standards of beauty goes too far. Some are stupid and dangerous to someones health. This crap about the head shape is just so ridiculous and if you shaved around 100 peoples heads, they would probably all have different head shapes. Special forces has nothing to do with being talented it's risky,rigorous but ambitious as he wanted to challenge himself,reality is their standard is not flex but it's hard work.. Not surprisingly he chose and Jk wanted too but wasn't because of his tattoos..obviously it was inspired by Wooga squad member Park hyung sik who also trained there.. I hope he passes through well also for jk and Jm because they go as millitary buddies they are placed in one of the toughest training centres/systems for frint line that experience harsh cold in winter. Dave, I have to speak out on this weirdo "ship" stuff about the BTS guys hugging each other at the enlistment ceremony. The people who think there's something "sexually hidden" going on have NEVER been around Black men to see them when they greet or say goodbye to each other. Good grief, people!
If you look at the original videos of the hugs between V and Junghook, they execute a typical Black men's handshake which goes as follows,
1. Grab each other's hands as in a regular handshake.
2. Rotate the hands upwards laterally and while bending the arms at the elbows.
3. Pull each other in close until both chests meet.
4. Lower each chin simultaneously into each other's shoulder or neck.
5. Take the other free hand and slap each other on the back reassuringly. (optional step)
6. Whisper to each other something like, "Props to you man!" or "Hey man!".
7. Release from the hug and separate bodies.
That's it! Duh! And that's exactly what the BTS guys were doing as they said goodbye/good luck to each other when RM and V saluted and were inducted. THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE GOING ON! I have been to Korea several times and have several good friends. Yes, there is a section of Koreans that is more than addicted to how they look.
Unfortunately, their "stars" can hardly live normally, they are expected to look perfect, and this is then transferred to part of the population. Some of my friends fell into that trap, and others are ordinary people, who are beautiful people even without make-up and cosmetic surgery.
We mostly have information about the suicides of famous people, but there is plenty of that among the "normal" population as well. The struggle for a job and a good place is also something that very often destroys many people. But I honestly love Korea and Koreans, my friends say I'm Korean in disguise lol.
These two guys have been very good friends for years. They understand each other. They obviously have other friends, but that makes them understand each other especially well. Everyone has a friend like that. It is unnecessary to see more into it.

I see pics at times showing someone kissing someone usually BTS members. I find these pics very irritating simply because you can never believe what you are seeing with this new AI technology. This technology can make anything seem real. You also see videos that appear to be one of the BTS members but later find out it was only look alikes--not one of the members. This is about making money or getting likes. People we are going to have to get wiser to these tactics. It would not surprise me if all of the BTS members are straight. I do think they have very close friendships almost like family. I do not think the company did the BTS members any favors by letting these ships take place. In the beginning it might have been fun and games but this is no longer the case. It is serious now and should be stopped. That is just my opinion.

Rumors and conjecture have abounded around movie stars, pop stars and famous people in almost any profession you can think of since forever! Ultimately it’s not really anyone’s concern other than the people it involves. I’ve have seen this type of fan behavior over and over again throughout my life. To threaten someone because of who they do or don’t love is cruel and pretty sick on top of it. In society we have seen stars stalked and threatened because of a fan’s unrealistic expectations. My question is would you really want to see someone you admire and support go through this. These guys have their own personal and private lives separate from BTS. Just as people are not privy to everything in your private life you are not privy to theirs. You see snippets of what may or may not be a reality. If JK and V love each other good for them. If they don’t that’s fine too. Enjoy your idols for the talent they share with the world. Yes it’s fun to muse about their private life but it should be no more than that. These guys are like brothers, and really love each other. These guys are touchy feely type of people, and will freely hug everyone. I have seen interactions between all the guys, that may be questionable in western eyes, but I've noticed that Koreans don't seem to have the same body hangups (unless it comes to romance) as the rest of the world. Every single one of these guys have been caught sneaking a peek at females, Jimin especially. People seem to forget the cultural differences and if you are a celebrity, it's a whole different world.

I hate comparing people to famous artists. I agree if there is a significant similarity. But I am tired of seeing even literally babies being compared to Jk and other idols. Love your idols for what they're, not how they look.. They might not look like how they looked yesterday and beauty standards keep changing. If you're matured enough, accept a person for what they are and see through the exterior and recognise talents irrespective of looks. 😊
