As a pharmaceutical scientist Practicing as a pharmacy technologist at the hospital for a while Am shocked of the kind of words the young lady is using to explain what they have done. Secondary school nii paa This is wonderful ❤
Instead, we can pay attention and invest in her. But If she gets a scholarship outside the country. She is gonna go outside of the country and we’re gonna lose her forever and this talent is gonna go somewhere Else. 😢
Finally the innovation and invention mindset is back❤❤❤this is good sign into the future and I believe there are a lot of people out there who have great inventions in mind
@ that’s what I’m also anticipating had this been in another western country like the girl will graduate from school straight to an invention institute
I remember a boy from the same school who invented an electronic ballot box since 2020 and nothing has been done to advance the project. It's just like finishing school and not having a job to to. The inventions will be done but will not see the light of day without the projection and investment.
She needs to apply to scholarships to school outside of the US. She will be a beast in biomedical engineering. Ghana needs people like her but does not support the youth. Check out international scholarships for schools like Harvard, MIT, Yale, Penn…etc
Hmmm if she go school outside trust me Ghana will not see her again and she will be part of our brain drain syndrome anyway I’m not against her studying abroad.
Why don't Ghana equip the universities in country (a one top school in the country) to have the resources needed for invention. Because if she goes school abroad, which is great by the way, she can easily be poached abroad and the chances of her coming back to help the country reduces.
@ ask the officials then because they are not making a future for youth. Abroad, she will have more opportunities. There are stronger internships, innovative technology, a plethora of university majors she can choose from. She will actually have OPTIONS. There’s no point in waiting in Ghana to change especially with the rates of youth unemployment after graduation. Coming back to Ghana will be her choice alone. I would not let anything hold me back from a brighter future.
This is a STEM program specific to their school, tailored for that particular institution. Sheldon, while these competitions generally happen, many of them are held behind closed doors. It would be amazing if you could cover them on your platform. Please, Boss, try to cover these events because there are students in JHS and SHS creating impressive projects as well.
That’s why we need Nana Kwame Bediako as president so that he can source competent ministers irrespective of their political affiliation. NPP and NDC will always put their patty interest first and won’t maintain such a vibrant minister.
This is an amazing invention. The way she articulated her points are excellent. VCs and angel investors need to tap in. Heavy potential. This is excellent.
The man be some serious educationist for uptee before he come down......We are honoured to have him and I hope the next gov. keeps him as Educational Minister
Ghanaian teachers are doing well.....kudos to the young champs, those smart brains are being guided, nurtured and shaped for future posterity.... the Child today is in hands of the teachers for a future tommorrow. lets do more for our teachers too they deserve it....
In academia we have researchers and practical oriented professionals. Everyone cannot be practical and there is nothing wrong with a smart person being very theoretical. I’m AI we have Yann Lecun who is a AI guru but just writes papers and Elon who doesn’t write but just creates. None can go with the other. So congrats to the girl and congrats to the NSMQ people. They are both needed
@ no it’s not. People wrote the books the girl read, the papers she had to read to get the info. Mostly those people didn’t do anything practical. Some people are just built for practical and there are the others. That’s why we have lecturers. Most lecturers and professors are theory oriented but without them we might not have the practical ones. It’s just that there is an imbalance in our case where the theory is far more. But it is NOT USELESS OR A WASTE OF TIME
@CwC_Academy have you really noticed that the real practicality make up are not provided in books. How many inventors read books and are able to do things? All the top inventors never read books. Books are highly for theoretical build up. You can only applied books when you apply natural senses to it.
Oh my goodness! This girl and her team are damn genius so they need all the support from the government to save more lives from that machine they have produced 👏 ❤❤
Adutwum is an educationalist o He get bunch schools for uk oo he's really good. I visited Jachie STEM SHS chale the things the kiddies dey build be mind bosting ooo
Do you know how many smart people Ghana has? Some of the best minds in the entire world. I hope they all start coming out of the wood works. It's about time.
We have so many brilliant minds like this in our schools, but the problem is that STEM competitions in Ghana are not given enough attention or funding. Unlike the NSMQ and other theoretical competitions that are heavily hyped, STEM competitions barely get advertised, so many people don’t even know they exist. If these competitions were properly funded and promoted, they would inspire more schools and kids to participate, helping us uncover the innovative potential of our students. Unfortunately, in Ghana, most children are conditioned to think success is only in corporate or health sector jobs like being a doctor, nurse, or lawyer, rather than being innovative and creating solutions. But the talent is there, our system just needs to nurture it.

Bravo and very happy but We can't wait 2 to 3 years for this invention to given the green light ...people cant afford and are dying ....Government ,..get the dialysis machines in ASAP ...

Bro maybe if we also had the kind of education these kids are having now maybe we would have seen something huge... As a computer Engineering student I wrote my first code when I went to the university... I mean, I did not even have access to a personal computer until 2nd year in the university. I think i am seeing something being done so right in the educational curriculum in a long while.
STEM education is the future, but it's still theoretical in Ghana, most of the projects you see in the media are created by University graduates who don't have jobs yet and sold to these SHS to come and showcase as if they built it themselves. We need to actually train the students in basic schools to be able to build solutions but not to let their teachers buy them from University graduates. I think we should rather look for those behind these projects and promote them and help them more. If not they'll continue to always sell their prototypes to feed themselves because they don't have jobs. Let support them

There already is people just don't care about it

For your information PrimeTime the producers of the NSMQ have a competition like this called STEM Festival it happens every year
