I’m a show choir alum and this came up in my recommended. Simply incredible. EDIT: Just noticed the audience doing “the show choir wave.” They knew lol.
Hi I am in a choir that competes at the same competition. They won in their division. Which there was only 2 choirs in their division. They also spend thousands of dollars on costumes and set design.
@@mackenziebowles6287 Hi Mackenzie, there were *4 groups in our division (Tier 1) and we were awarded grand champions. Also we don't spend as much money as you think! We are not funded by our school or county in any way and we do several fundraisers and events throughout the year to lower the costs of our set design and costumes. In fact, we've done 2 fundraisers already for the 2021 season. Not to mention we re-use a lot of our set pieces. The stadium lights last year were repurposed to make the light bars in the back, and we re-used the light up stairs from previous years. The shadow boxes were made from by my friends dad with wood and a metal frame. What we are taught is that the vocals, choreography, and band always come first and that the set and costumes should only be used to enhance the show. After all, you can't win a competition with just a cool set and nice costumes. Have a nice day!
