Disclaimer: Hey babes! I was flying to and from Toronto during this makeover so having a painter made the process much faster! :) I was going to paint my walls myself (like I have done multiple times before) but the painter came to remove the shelves in fear that there would be wall damage- bc that was beyond my level of expertise! He then offered to paint for a great rate that made it easier bc I was in between travels in another country. The furniture was set up and put together because that is what Living Spaces does when they deliver furniture (they didn't have any in stock so they had to deliver)!! I've painted my room and bathroom plenty of times before by myself!! Please don't comment hate on my makeover that "well why didn't u paint it" when I've painted my room 3 times. We were on a time limit, had the resources, and used them :) love you all!!

$100 for a mirror is totally not a steal haha you can find a lot of this stuff at thrift stores and Craig's List - it all ended up looking really great though and I love the room :)

omg that idea of using graph paper to map out your room is genius. I've used it whenever I love house it's so helpful!
Love your suggestions to look at your natural light source and layout your room on graph paper when planning your makeover.

Just a tip for you guys: I got the EXACT same desk chair just with lighter legs from Hobby Lobby for $35, so I would recommend looking there before you go on Amazon and buy it!
