If Georgiev was in net last night this would’ve been an 8-2 loss. Let’s not pretend like the first 3 goals weren’t caused by complete defensive lapses by the team and a pure luck bounce of the puck going off the crossbar and right to Guentzel. The team is a disaster in front of the net right now.
We didn't say it was. Even said he settled in as the game went on. But a 3 goal deficit 5 minutes into the game then spending the rest of it trying to play catch up. Where have we heard that story before. It's the same thing. Blame the defense if you want, but like I've said many times, would be nice to have a goalie who can make a save when there is a defensive breakdown. Curious to know what you thought of Georgiev's performance against Chicago.
That would have been a ten spot with Georgiev, he's mentally broken. To blame Kak for any of those goals is pretty tone deaf. Kylington needs to never wear an Avs sweater again. He's just not there. Suit up Ludvig for at least the size.
I absolutely love the dichotomy between when Georgiev gives up literally any goal and when any other goalie gives one up. Georgiev has got to be the only goalie in the league where every goal given up is 100% on him while we run to blame the defense for when other goalies are in. How about we expect to have a goalie make a save even if there ARE defensive breakdowns. Why can't both be true? Why can't we expect to have a goalie that can bail out the D when they falter? Shouldn't we have higher expectations? And look at that 2nd goal Tampa got. Khakonen isn't even looking in the right direction of the puck. It's a great playmaking move from Kucherov, but we are letting him off the hook way to easily because we want him to be the one to replace Georgiev and will give him benefits of the doubt, while for Georgie we are all about of benefits of the doubt to give. I get it.
That’s why Justus has become the starter go look at. his save % it’s .905 ,, I’m fine with Kahkonen as the back up at least we save 2 millions we can use somewhere else’s, or for another Goalie when the time comes ,, let’s not forget this team is playing with a lot of players that are too elevated in the line up or in the line up at all
kappo played good he made some tough saves, that redirected pad save then with toews on him another 3 secs apart , none of those goals were his fault like good lord that was embarrassing defense bunch of damm pylons , and how many odd man rushes one results in a goal then they get a 3 on 2 on a pk like wtf ,kappo was the only one who came to play cleary and ill give it to him he could of collapsed after those first 3 he didnt .
when you replace 6/9 of a strong top9 forwardcore with AHL level forwards and a #7-8 NHL dman playing forward, this is what thats gonna look like against a healthy NHL team with superstars on it.
I predicted score right yesterday 2-5. Gonna play lotto and get us Vasilesky!
Wondering if they do a Tatar style move soon to get an average/above average goalie
TOI MacK: 24m, Mikko: 24m, Mitts: 21m, Kale: 25m, Toews: 23m.
That's normal. Maybe even low for Cale and Toews
Dang, Avs are beat up.

Did you guys watch the same game as I watched? This loss is not on Kahkonen, he was NOT that bad.

I think he did ok for a guy who played six games last year.
Isn't it fun that the team has so many problems, we can debate which was THE problem?😅

Avs are a terrible team out of the gate. As long as that doesn't t fixed they will struggle .
