The New Heilani Kiky Dancers, a group of talented girls from Australia, teach the host how to hula dance. They have been dancing hula since childhood and perform a beautiful routine on the Australian talent show Little Big Shots. The host chats with them to learn about their passion for hula and their ambitions for the future. Despite their young age, they are a talented group of dancers who clearly love performing. The girls then attempt to teach the host some basic hip-swaying hula moves. They even get him to dress up in a grass hula skirt and flower necklace, which delights them. With their cute personalities and enthusiasm for dancing, these little girls are so much fun to watch! This heartwarming clip captures their infectious happiness and lively spirit, making it a must-watch for anyone who loves watching talented and cheerful children.

Sadly this is Tahitian Dancing not Hula. In no way is it the fault of these talented children, I think the show should have done a bit more research.

I love when we perpetuate culture! However, we also need to make sure those that give us the opportunity, the stage and introduce us also know what they are introducing. Until then they only say what they think, and not what they know.

Leave those babies alone. They have the rest of their lives to perfect their otea, aparima, kahiko, or any other dance.
