Troubles of Pigeon racing

Bad news after loosing most of the birds, we are canceling the one loft race and I'm not flying the young bird season. Starting with 61 birds. Training was a struggle this year with big losses. The birds that are coming home are taking all day and sometimes the week. They have been treated for various ailments and nothing seems to help them .I'm hoping over time some birds make it back. Never have I lost this many birds. Thank you to all who have been following along.

I'm originally from the bakersfield area. I can tell you this.There are a lot of predator birds out there on the roads. Especially when you hit open country.

I have these issues on the Cal-Ore border. Everyone here loses birds by the pile. I think it's hills and high bird of prey pressure.
