I'm just here to bump the metrics for Sean Strickland.
We all need a Sean in our lives. I sat by him on a flight a few months ago, what you see is what you get. Humble, funny and bigger in person. This card is worth the wait it's a win - win being a fan of both guys in the main&Co main.

I could definitely see volkov being one of those guys that was a gatekeeper forever and finally broke through. He has the prototype to build around. Always enjoy watching him fight
I can see an scenario where We get Pavlovich vs Volkov for the belt in Russia.
Volkov just getting a bit too old in terms of a fighter. Over 40 fights in his time as a pro. At another weight class sure, but man at HW that young power is ridiculous in comparison
@@heyim-jayU can't put it like that. At Heavyweight u don't really have to cut weight if ur are not walking around 300 pounds eating pure trash. Therefor ur body doesn't really get tired from all the weight cuts and u can actually keep on fighting longer
@@Unitaet gotta remember Volkov is 6”7! So his natural weight is probably close to 300 lbs. he’s cutting probably 30-40 lbs to make 255. Which I’m sure he’s good at it now, but that still can take a toll on your body. He’s also been in nearly 50 fights professionally so his body has deteriorated in many aspects. You can definitely say his bodily age is nowhere near his actual age in terms of durability. These heavyweights hit much much harder than your average guy, so that toll adds up!

Strickland is every bit as odd as Izzy is. They're just on polar opposite ends of the oddball/divergent character spectrum. That's honestly the thing that makes this buildup hype. I can't wait for the presser! 😅 And tbh their fight styles mirror their personalities...very unique, and distinctive from the "crowd" or general norm...but also every bit as extremely different from one another.
It's kind of a poetic matchup. Styles make fights, as they say. No matter what happens, the closer this fight gets, the more and more vibe I get that this fight is going to defy any reasonable expectations and deliver on the entertainment value, however that looks, nobody can truly know. Just know to expect the unexpected, folks.

I mean, if you think about it, they both have different childhood. Sean talked about his being abusive and all of that so he really didn’t have the opportunity to embrace his. Well style bender on the other hand did, and still continues to enjoy his life to the fullest. No one direction is right, but it does showcase and how they carry themselves. Hindsight is always 20/20 but seeing Izzy at his movie premiere is quite telling. He doesn't seem overly confident, hungry or focussed. Distracted by all the attention, shaking hands, going through the motions, saying all the same stuff hes said before.
