In some current extreme political ideologies some believe that words can be violence in themselves and can lead to more extreme violence than an individual actually getting their nose broken in a real violent act. Those arrested have every right to sue the police and the government for invoking new laws after the event and issuing heavy handed sentences. We work on a system of law that depends on previous cases. If previous cases don’t match today’s sentences, it’s not fair or equal.
They would also have to differentiate between those attending a "far right protest" to those attending the anti racist protests that proceeded. Both were termed protests and both had people in attendance, so therefore equality and fairness would lawfully be required.

In some current extreme political ideologies some believe that words can be violence in themselves and can lead to more extreme violence than an individual actually getting their nose broken in a real violent act. All it takes is for somebody in authority and power to perceive that is the case and guilt or innocence is based entirely at their own discretion.

100% I haven’t attended any March or protest, I’d like to, just to show that I am one of the thousands and thousands who feel uncontrolled immigration needs to stop, I’m not far right, I’m not a racist, I know many relative newcomers to the UK from Eastern Europe, from Africa and so on who are here to work, are here to integrate, to make a new life here, they came with the means to do so.
But I am now genuinely concerned that even simply writing something like this could result in a knock at the door, how can this be? The world has been in a downward spiral for the last couple of decades where we have passed to point of being told to accept minority groups to where we are now being told to bow down to them treat them as prioritised citizens and I’m not just referring to ethnicity here.

People are not being allowed their right of freedom of speech and voicing opinions and concerns. The law does not appear to be serve out equally.
