(This is 3rd time posting this comment because TH-cam is being an ass)
There are couple of things that come to my mind:
-Devs are ACTUALLY lazy "Just slap something together, theyll buy it anyways. It has the name on it"
-Transforming an anime into a game can be pain in the ass specially if the anime does not fit into a game format really well
-Japanese are different from us in many ways. They like their games different too. Devs might be aiming for domestic markets first thus we are "suffering" from it and if they like what they get, devs are not going to change their ways

the danmachi switch game, infinite combate, was just straight up terrible adaption. it was linear dungeon rpg that became essentially a dating sim post game, all while looking like a cheap mobile game
