@@TheAverageKitchen Short answer... yes you can do a pork roast in the air fryer. My dog is enjoying the results as I write this LOL! Second time ever using the machine and I learned a lot. I cooked a 1.5 pork roast with bone in, from frozen and adjusted the time. It would have been perfect if I did it just for 35 mins at 390. I did it for 40 mins and it was overdone. But at least my potatoes came out awesome! Three whole potatoes, punctured and I did rub it with olive oil and S&P. 400 for 30 mins. Pefection!
Thanks for the update guys! I have the original version and it's still going strong. Got a good price on it. I use it several times a week. BELIEVE Jamie! BELIEVE! You gotta BELIEVE! The Maple Leafs are going to win the Stanley Cup this year!🤣🤣 I'm still at Lake of the Woods, Ontario. Doing some fall muskie fishing. It's almost time to head home and put the gear away for the season. Cheers!
I find that the oil from prefried foods like fries tends to stick Iike glue and over time just won’t come off when cleaning and eventually just takes the finish off with it. Any recommendations on cleaning that actually keeps it clean?
I have the previous generation which is slightly smaller but I agree, the smart finish never works out. I also found that I use my kitchenaid air fry toaster oven that I use 99 percent of the time unless I'm doing fries for more than 3 people.
Im in the process of upgrading my 4 yr old gourmia fryer, just bought this ninja one at bestbuy! After redeeming a few rewards points, it came out to $120 out the door. I’m 50/50 on it tho mostly due to the amount of time I keep seeing it takes to fully finish heating/frying foods. I saw your previous video (when first purchased) it looks cool, but the amount of time to heat up/air fry things seems eksreeeem!
These reviews always focus on cooking simultaneously but that’s not the way I personally use mine. I just like having 2 baskets because sometimes 1 is dirty, and then you can still cook something without washing it right away lol. I know it’s laziness but that’s the main benefit to me. If you use an air fryer a lot, why not have an “extra” basket on hand
I’m from the south & have always used a deep fryer. I’m just now considering jumping on the air fryer bandwagon, just worry I’m going to love that deep fried yumminess!
The main reason IMO about the look of the fries is, that such places as McDonald's buy up all the good potatoes to make their fries, and we end up with the sub par leftovers...lol

These long-term use follow-up videos are so important to see, even if I have zero plans on buying the product.
Thanks. We are trying to show both perspectives, right outta the box, and down the road, is it worth it. Thanks for the comment. Marc
@TheAverageKitchen first impressions don't always age well. These hold more value IMO.
Great video as usual. I have this Ninja and there is a learning curve. Thank you
Thanks for the comment! - J
Used this one for the first time yesterday and it was great. QUESTION: have you ever tried doing a small pork roast?
No we haven't tried that actually. Let us know if you do! - J
@@TheAverageKitchen Doing a small one today... will let you know.

Good to know! Thanks for the update! - J
I got one of these dual basket ninjas for $15 at a bin store new in box. Its been great!
That's a steal! - J
Thanks for the update guys! I have the original version and it's still going strong. Got a good price on it. I use it several times a week.

How has the nonstick coating held up?
I'd say it's held up well. That being said, I don't often cook things that would stick without oil, so that helps. No complaints though. - J
I find that the oil from prefried foods like fries tends to stick Iike glue and over time just won’t come off when cleaning and eventually just takes the finish off with it. Any recommendations on cleaning that actually keeps it clean?
I'm a dishwasher guy! The drawers and trays go right in each time. Never an issue. - J
I have the previous generation which is slightly smaller but I agree, the smart finish never works out.
I also found that I use my kitchenaid air fry toaster oven that I use 99 percent of the time unless I'm doing fries for more than 3 people.
There's limitations for sure. Thanks for the great comment! - J
I actually do use the dehydrator function and it works great
Well that's good to know! - J
Ditto. Works fantastic. Bought a set of air fryer dehydrating racks to be able to dehydrate larger batches or ever air fry more food. Love them.
Awesome! - J
Me too! I dehydrate fruit because it’s so expensive at the stores.

Will you guys review the ninja coffee machine. Curious to hear your thoughts on it
We’ll see what we can do. Neither of us are coffee drinkers however. Marc
Amazon and Best buy has this for 129.00 this week.
Great deal! - J
Just paid $150 for mine today 😊
Awesome! Let us know how you like it. - J

Very good point. Marc
Great follow up. I'll stick to my deep fryer with peanut oil.
Fair enough! - J

Lol. Could be! - J
you think mcdonalds is buying quality potatoes? LOL
Amazon has it today down to 129 for anyone seeing this at the start of the post!
Great price! - J
39 min sounds insane i have a $25 air fryer single basket i can cook all that in 12 -15 min total and be crispier guess ill halt the "upgrade"
What air fryer is that? - J
@ some cheap kalorik. I believe from ocean state joblot Got it 4 maybe 5 yrs ago.
Interesting! - J
You forgot to show how to clean it. ☹
Easy. Dishwasher! Thanks for watching. - J
If you knew how they make those chicken nuggets you wouldn't eat them or feed them to your family.
I'd probably still eat them.... - J
I would agree; however, Canada doesn’t allow the same subpar standards that as our FDA. 😉
Lucky for us! - J
