Hello people. I will link put some links in the description box where you can buy a tea plant. Whilst you are here you may like to watch this video. Dan. How to grow Pumpkins | Growing | Harvest | Curing | Storing th-cam.com/video/ZSrTAENC6pc/w-d-xo.html
Hi Dan, Mine grows in the garden and my soil is 6.5 which is just a tad acid, It's about 5 foot tall and very bushy, I don't use it for tea as I tend to drink more coffee than tea, The bush was in a pot for about 3 years before I put it in the garden and I planted it in the ground because of the watering that it needed (I thought live or die) and it just took off. Thanks for the video.
Hi Dan my tea plant that I've had around 6 years has tolerated -8. I'm in Manchester. Its in a large pot and I've used ericaceous compost and i feed it ericaceous feed. Ive had flowers and seeds in the past which resulted in new plants 🪴 🍵
Howdy, Dan.👋 Your tea plant is sweet. Getting one has been on my to get list for a while. 😃 Thanks for the tutorial.👍 I grow a lot of plants for tea: lemon balm, chamomile, mulberry, strawberry, lemongrass, marigold, mint, roselle, etc. You can't beat a good cup of tea...hot or iced!☕️
Good stuff, cheers Dan. We've done dandilion root coffee, also burdock, and goose grass seeds (bit of a faff collecting them) bit of roasting in the oven then through a bean grinder, 2/3 dandilion 1/3 burdock is my favorite

That's cool Louise. Mine flowered earlier in the year. Did your seeds appear after the flowering?
@homegardens7682 I hadn't noticed the flowers as they're quite small and plain white, it's when it developed seed pods that I realised.
Cool. I will keep an eye out Louise.
Looks nice and healthy Dan. I admit I'm a coffee drinker, less chance of growing my own coffee beans here Haha
You indeed are Brett! Could be a great low maintenance hardy exotic for your garden though Brett!
I always enjoy a Mint Tea & my Mint is growing through nicely now & Thanx for sharing ☺️
My pleasure!
Very interesting and I would like to try growing tea.
Do it. Hopefully it will catch on and more people will start growing there own tea

Great plants there. Oh yes! It's a cute little plant. Hopefully it will grow nicely this year.

Sounds great. Certainly given me some ideas.
I think you could grow regular coffee in the UK if you watered it extra but you might struggle to get it to flower and produce beans
The cold Winters would be a struggle as well.
Excellent information.
Cheers. Glad it was helpful.
Tea shortage in the UK?,well I’m sorry but that’s the tipping point!😂 Good job Dan 😊
Lol indeed is!! Cheers!!
I do love my tea, so I may invest in a few tea plants. Thank for the info.
My pleasure. Do it. Very worthwhile.
Greetings Dan!
Greetings to you as well!!
How very interesting... you learn something new everyday thank you 😀
My pleasure Laura. Go grow that tea!
