CHELSEA INCREASE TICKET PRICES BY 200% | FOOTBALL IS LOSING ITS SOUL!

  • I thought that the Super League was going to be a line in the sand for football but Chelsea have just put up their season ticket prices in a particular part of the stadium by 200%. Football without fans is nothing, but that mantra seems to be falling on deaf ears. Sad times.

Loki, been a Toon fan for 41 years, so have had plenty of practice. It was only rosy under the days of Sir John Hall and Keegan for around 5years.
Not sure about now, but how bad does it have to get when you would rather have a homicidal maniac Prince as your beneficiary than a sports shop owner who hasn't a pot to piss into? Funny then that Ashley buys up all these useless department stores (purely to get the property) while saving £40M a year with free Sports Direct advertising on his stadium that's dropping to pieces.
Just remember that Ashley was the one who sold NUFC to the Saudis, so people should really boycott Sports Direct for having done the deal to take the tainted £305 million, all soaked in claret.

Bayern Club President, Uli Hoeness on the clubs season ticket prices:
🗣 "We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300. We'd get £2m more in income, but what's £2m to us?"
🗣 "In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between £104 and £300 is huge for the fan. We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk."

When i was a kid growing up in London in the 80's i did a paper-round for a pittance. Then on a Saturday morning i would look up which London clubs were playing at home & just take the tube and go watch a match. I watched everyone, Palace, Millwall, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, didn't matter, I just loved the adventure of live football. I was a wide-eyed kid with a passion for the game. I didn't have to pre-book anything and could get into all those grounds with my paper-round money. Think about that.
There is not a cat in hells chance i would go to any of those places now. They do not deserve what they steal from the fans & they are never getting my money again.

Slightly misleading here. A Small portion of the tickets in West Stand Upper are now being sold as hospitality packages with food and drink (including Alchol) included. They know full well that the average fan can't afford those prices, and if anything that encourages them more. As fans we all forgot about the super league far too quickly. In our case, the Champions League win glossed over a lot of the cracks, and we can't forget. Think about how much impact we all made as fans over those few days, we should STILL be angry. The owners of all those clubs must be laughing themselves to sleep over how we've all gone back to normal.
