Bordeux looks interesting and historic. The scenery is also beautiful, especially the area at the Stone bridge. The hotel room looked spacious and clean but I understand that location of the hotel wasn't good and you didn't feel safe. Thanks for sounding out the issue!

WOW!!!! This is my favorite video that you’ve done, i loved the architecture that you showed, but i did not like the fact you didn’t feel safe- it was so dark outside the hotel. I’m glad you made it back to your room safely, I travel a lot in the US and always stay at Hilton Hotels. They’re always very nice and clean- i love the bedding, always sleep well- but i guess there’s nothing they can do about the surrounding area. It definitely should’ve been better lit. Anyways thanks for sharing another great video, i get to see things through your eyes i’ll never get to see with my own! Safe travels❤

I am sorry to hear you didn't feel that safe while in that area.
One thing you are guaranteed when staying at a Hilton it doesn't matter where in the world you are, the room decor is pretty much the same, the only difference being the hotel lobby.

Thank you for the tour of Bordeaux. I was there in Paris two times only for a stop over. I thought maybe I could catch a cab and go see the Eifel Tower but it was morning so there would have been rush hour so there wasn't any time. A person arranged a trip to Australia and took a group of people with him . I was in that group. He got one of the cheaper hotels in Sydney. It was in the red light district also. The group was very disgusted. Also he didn't arrange anything. We had to do touring by ourselves. Missed seeing. someone that I went to high school in a piano competition at the Sydney Opera House.

Hi Anna. I've never been to Bordeaux. Closest place to Bordeaux I've been is further south in the walled medieval town of Carcassonne. It's not often you don't recommend a hotel but in this case it's justified. It's a great hotel and the suite you had was superb but it's just in the wrong location and I don't think I'd feel safe either with a red-light district close by. Definitely not recommended for families with children. A real shame really as Bordeaux itself is a pretty city with some nice architecture. It looks like a good city to walk around. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful weekend.

If you have the possibility don't hesitate to go in the Landes, and visit Bayonne and Biarritz. They have beautiful houses and building built during the Roaring Twenty. And the city center is less shady than Bordeaux ^^;.

What a stupid reason for not to like a hotel. Being safe and red light districts have nothing but nothing to do with each other. I know most of European capitals and most unsafe neighbourhoods are NOT the red light districts in general. For tourist it's most likely the big shopping streets that are the most unsafe for pickpockets , etc etc
