Damn, I swear your films are like a meditation. Great work as usual and yet somehow that doesn't seem to be enough of a compliment.
for real.. very breathtaking
Thank you, friend. That means a lot to me 💛
I was watching this at a coffee shop. Some of these shots were so good that i ended up spitting my coffee out onto the person beside me. It happened almost a dozen times. They called security. I'm no longer welcome at this establishment. Nonetheless, really amazing work Cody.
geeking over the double exposure. its so clean
me too!
Right now I'm in a stressful and anxiety-filled period of my life, and your videos give me a mental massage, fill me with calmness. Thank you for this. Your work and art are true gems of this platform.
Thanks for this. It really spoke to my soul as I’m having my coffee this morning. Honestly brought tears to my eyes. Just beautiful and really soothing.
4:33 Is so nice dude. love these landscape/overlanding photography episodes!
One of my favorites for sure. And thank you brother! 🙏🏼
We're thrilled every time we watch your videos! Such a peaceful and amazing tour, really happy to see the views were captured so beautifully on our 640T film. Great pictures, and great memories! The moments you've frozen in time are truly remarkable, and they highlight why the allure of film photography is everlasting. Hats off to you! Such an excellent work!
Its great to have you always making such cinematic and captivating videos. You truly are a great story teller. Thank you for everything dude!
To know they're appreciated makes it all worth it. Thank you for watching!
This collection of work was fantastic.
Thank you!
Watching these videos is like experiencing a truly unique movie.
My favorite series is back! The Film Fridge is like a masterclass of filmmaking & analog photography.
As a deaf viewer, I appreciate that you added custom captions to your most recent videos. But they seem to have HTML tags in them for some reason.
Thanks for the heads up. I believe I fixed it!
incredible work. Love all of what you produced, especially the stunning results with the 640T.
The algorithm suggested this video to me and now I’m going to try and watch as much of your channel as I can. This was an absolute delight to watch and your work is beautiful. I loved the experimentation and the use of double exposures for these sights. Truly awesome
Pleased to meet you. Welcome! And thank you for the kind words!
Absolutely incredible video. Loved the experimentation with the films, loved the titbits about your process and changing the films etc, and loved the overall feel. Can’t wait to see more
Thank you so much! Eager to share more!
The first time seeing your channel and immediately I subscribed. Great, calming and inspiring at the same time!
Loved the longer video!
The shot with the bonfires in the forest was magical. Great work Cody!
Thanks Michael!!
Loved the video, the photographs are amazing, good eye! Subscribed!❤
Welcome! Excited you're here!
The double exposures are great. The colors also from 5399 film makes look like you went to Mars.
Thanks for providing links to the films and not gate keeping 😊
Incredible photos and videography
This is PRECISELY the content I follow you for - fantastic stuff!
So glad to hear it. More to come!
i kinda like the atmosphere of your video.very inspired
and one question : Don't you think there will be too heavy that carrying at least two camera when you shotting footage ...🤣
Thank you! and yeah, carrying two cameras + all the accessories gets a bit tiring sometimes, but it's worth it :)
BTW.i'm from china..and i really suggest you can come to the western part of china and take some landscape in the future if you have an opportunity@@Codacolor 😁
next time you come down to california, take the coast and stop in Eureka. make sure its not Yreka, CA though. Eureka is a harbor town just south of redwood national park and its easily one of my favorite places in Califronia.
I love everything about this! Thank you for showcasing these three unique stocks. I actually have a roll of Luminar in my fridge, and now I feel even more inspired and excited to try it out.
Thanks Stephen! I think it may be time to shoot it!
Excellent! One of the best and unique vlogs I’ve had the pleasure to watch in a long time. Great camera work, perfect music, stunning images all work together to create such a nice vibe. I miss your regularity, however, less is more. Hat’s off man, nice work.
Thanks for all the kind words. And the regularity is back and here to stay!
What van I say, everything about this video was stunning! Will never tire of videos like this and the photos were just incredible
Van, tire... is this a vanlife pun??🤣
Amazing video as always Cody! Absolutely love the look of the first film stock with the holes throughout. Definitely a film stock that I’d never heard of
Thanks, Bren!!
i felt hugged by this video
The trash got me tearing up! I'm working on a project documenting how humans completely disregard our home and discard our trash wherever we please. It's an unfortunate project but something that deeply stirs my heart. I hate how something as simple as throwing away our trash responsibly is often 'too much effort' for us!
You're speaking my language, Darren. Best of luck on your project. As a society, we've grown blind litter, but it doesn't need to stay that way.
Fantastic work, it really brought me back to a similar road trip I did with my dad and younger brother back in 2010.
Glad I could resurface some memories for you!
The music on your videos is always so effective at evoking certain emotions in me, really well done mate! Where do you find your music?
I really enjoyed seeing your work in this video. I’m inspired and motivated. Someone else said it already, but your videos are like medicine. Keep up the good work, bro 🔥
Much appreciated. Thank you!!
Loved this one Cody, beautiful photos and a beautiful little film too 👌
Thanks so much!!
Amazing photos and an amazing road trip! Hoping one day I can do a Death Valley/395 road trip one day! It truly looks stunning
I hope you can too! If you're going to Death Valley, definitely visit in the winter!
that was a nice video. good job
Beautiful, relaxing, inspiring.
ethereal-thanks for sharing
So amazing, I just picked up an EOS 3 due to your video and it’s genuinely amazing even in todays standard of cameras
EOS 3 is the 🐐
9:16 Assuming you are shooting that EF mount camera, version one of the 24-105 L is about 400 bucks used now. A steal. You also get image stabilization.
Ooh. great suggestion. Thank you!
While I guess these film stocks are more for the grown ups I have to say this was a stellar episode for the cinematography, sound design and editing.
There's no height requirement on this ride. All are welcome! And thank you!
Beautiful video, always respect ❤📷
My God what a beautiful video.
Would love to see the luminar in 120, really loved the colours.
I second that!
Awesome places you guys have there
so many incredible photos!
A very interesting walk and beautiful photos that deserve to be published as a photo book.👍
I'm glad you think so!
Thank you. What a movie...
Those white spots look like alien scout ships. 😱
Firstly, very glad I stumbled upon your videos. Secondly not important but is this epidemic sound music or a different music site? This is the type of music I’ve been wanting to use for a travel video I’ve been working on but been struggling to find. Great work and thanks!
Thanks Nick. And I use a variety of licensing sites. Primarily Audiio and Musicbed.
@@Codacolor makes sense, appreciate the response!
Hold up! Bend? Hey neighbor!
Mate, that shot at 8:51 taken at Mesquite Flat could be a shot taken on Tatooine with it's two suns sitting over the desert.
Fun fact, some of the Tatooine scenes were filmed in Death Valley!
Great ride along! Respect is worth a subscribe and I am looking forward to the future viewing. -a random mike
The shot at 6:20 is cool, as it looks like the sun. 😀
This kind of stuff makes me want to get into film!
Come to the dark side!
Awesome shots and video!
Do you remember what some of your aperture and shutter speeds were when using the 640T at night? I want to shoot more at night but I don't exactly yet understand how expose for those scenes.
Thank you! And I'm not sure but I think my aperture was around 5.6 and my shutter was somewhere around a half second or so. Just be sure you are aware of where both the shadows and highlights are falling within the frame and I'm sure you'll do great!
Incredible
(I could watch you travel cost country 'till the end of time )
That 640T though. I don’t know.
Love the other films.
Commenting to please algorithm gods. Great work!
Nice images! Please consider ducking the music track next time, especially since it drones.
Love it!
I'm confused about one thing (probably because I'm dumb). What are the holes in the film for? There on purpose, or by accident? Enjoyed the video!
If not knowing what the holes are for makes you dumb then I guess we're both dumb because I'm not really sure either! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Codacolor 😂😂😂
What's up with the white circles?
Yes, where do they come from, seems pretty useless for a copying film to have white circles all over it
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. Looks neat though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
8:15 is tatooine bro
What was the Kodak 3599 vn developed with?
C-41!
👍👍🌹🌹❤❤🌷🌷👌👌😊😊
Well I definitely love seeing your work with unique films. However not for me, I am a fan of slide films and if I shoot C41 I enjoy Ektar and some Portra 160. Great video as always though.
Amazing video, always a visual treat!
OK, I was looking for a moment to pause. I found it when I went online and bought some of these films. I don't expect to celebrate my results, but I am I do expect to enjoy the journey. Thank you and keep going. This is where you belong. And traveling with you is a little better than watching the "Breaking News".
Thanks Jeffery!!
Thanks for taking the effort to write captions for this video. It helps me watch your video when I'm out and about... although in my opinion, your videos should be displayed in theatres and museums.
I'm honored you think so. And thank you for letting me know the captions were well received!
Man, Cody. Wonderful video and what a unique set of film stocks. Definitely looking into the Luminar!
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy shooting it!
Recently, with two kids, I can't keep up with my favourite analogue youtubers. But when I make the time, you are certainly one of the top 5 I have to manage to squeeze to my day (or mostly night, when I do the dishes). Thanks Cody.
Honored to have some of your limited spare attention. I hope to always do good by it. Thank you.
@@Codacolor always, my man! Keep up the good work!
