    Love the shirt, that was our saying in the army while clearing buildings. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Hope you have plenty of dry spots to skate in the winter

      North Carolina keeps us skating year round. 2 parks down today, one to go.
      28.5 years of Paratrooping, my time is coming to an end but the lesson will last a lifetime.
      Stay Rad

    The new Set up looks great. Don't worry about the grip job. My grip job is very sloppy. 😅 I usually go graphics in for wheels, but if the wheel starts to cone then I flip it the other way that way it evens out. That's what a friend told me.

      I have always been a graphics out guy. I guess I am becoming more core 😂.
      I have never skated hard enough to come a wheel. Life goals 💯. Stay Rad my friend. Thanks for stopping by.

    Yeah dude glad I found your channel found your tail slide tutorial helpful. I'm 48 and restarted skating again a few years ago after quitting in the nineties. Liking the ser up i tend to skate smaller deck and wheels usually from 7.8 to 8.125 and around 48 mm 50mm find a lighter set up easier although on occasion skate a 9 and 10.125. subscribed.

      Welcome back to skateboarding. I always tell people that started to skate is the best thing I have ever done for myself as an adult. We tend to do everything for work and family and forget about ourselves. Skating gives us back something.
      Is it hard to find the 7.8s these days?
      I skated in the 80s with no tricks and stopped in 89. Tried to get my kids into it in 2006 but they didn't bite. So 10 more years went by before I did it for myself. However over that 10 years I was reading about it and watching skate videos and TH-cam but not doing it. Finally went all in. I love it and I am grateful for it.
      Stay Rad Sir.

      @AdventuresInSkateboarding Santa Cruz do a 7.8 and zero also but I ride 8s and 8.125 also they are very easy to find

      @trevorkelly7192 cool that you can get what you like. boards keep getting bigger and the shops around here don't carry much below an 8.25.
      I tried an 8 once. I don't have the skill set to skate an 8. I feel like a fat man in a little coat. 😂

      @AdventuresInSkateboarding I buy online the really skinny decks but my local skate shop normally keeps 8s in stock big decks are cool too everybody is different in their preference plus I came from the skinny deck small wheels era so it's what I originally learnt on. Have a good Christmas anyway bro.

    Nice setup dude, I've been wanting to try out the flight deck, I usually ride Creature VX or Creature "stumps" with the shorter wheelbase

    • @AdventuresInSkateboarding
      @AdventuresInSkateboarding  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I tried the VX. It just didn't work for me. The wheel base or pop angle really messed with me. I need to try it again. I would like to try the VX ever slick. Because you like the VX, I would say to try someones flight before you buy one. I felt they were very different.
      Powell has been my go to since my childhood.
      Stay Rad Sir.

      It is great grip. Mob seemed to be getting inconsistent. Pepper seems to know what they are doing.

    That's a nice set up. I have blue foil 8.75 with Ace Af1 60 , dragon and G3 bearings. I'm not doing any flip tricks just riding transition and cruising around the park

    • @AdventuresInSkateboarding
      @AdventuresInSkateboarding  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That's a sick setup. ACE AF1 60s are great. If you like the dragons, definitely try the X Series. I was sold in Dragons but moved to Bones X. I just got a set of the P Rods they are a 95X.
      Stay Rad

      @@AdventuresInSkateboarding thanks I'm looking for new wheels on my other deck I'll give the Bones X a shot. Your set up video confirmed I bought the right deck. the concave on the Fight deck feels perfect on my feet

    I’m looking forward to the next video about how the new board feels. I ride 8.25 most of the time. But I’m going to try 8.5 here soon. I wonder how your 8.38 is going to feel. Should be interesting.

      I have been skating it for a while. Trying to stack some clips and thoughts.
      If I could learn how to skateboard, that would be better 😂.

    Am I the only one who has considered using a countersink to get the extra bit of grip tape out of the bolt holes? Allens for the win ..hollow bolts lol

    • @AdventuresInSkateboarding
      @AdventuresInSkateboarding  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I am an Allen key guy for sure.
      I think counter sinking may actually be better for the wood than driving the screws into it. Not a bad idea.

      We have gotten gnarly on this one. Same tricks but a gnarly spot and a crazy slam.
      Still stacking clips. 🙏
