Amazing review. I agree with the AC. Ang laki kasi sa loob so it really takes time. Lalo na kung kasikatan ng araw around 11am-3pm. Pero ang lamig kahit 1 if malilim or umaga/hapon. Then sa fuel consumption, long drive, it’s the best! Guaranteed. I am an owner of MG5 2022 model, so far I’m loving. Ung feeling of luxury nandun and I agree with the body, ang tibay 😍🙏 Keep it coming sir!

Xfilms, Phantom okay sila.. Gamit ko sila sa sasakyan namin. Di tumatagos init sa glass. ung init is nanggagaling lang sa ceiling dahil wala insulation
1. Headlight fogging is fine. 2. Infotainment and DRL issues minor (not about engine, transmission and under chassis)... All-in-all ok nmn sya so far kasi under warranty.. but base on my maybe "lucky" experience of having brand new toyota, honda and mitsubishi.. i don't experience any issues even minor issues up to 5 years... My conclusion, I will accept those minor issues base on its price and other good points you are mentioning so far.. planning to buy same variant.. Thanks sir for your long term, comprehensive and transparent review!! Kudos!!!

What about the cost of ownership i.e PMS and other maintenance? How frequent in a year? The low aquisition cost could be taken away by costly and frequent PMS. In 5 year period you would probably pay more. Please share... I am a Ford owner for many years, and interested to the upcoming MG GT. Honestly the wrong perception of Ford having a costly maintenance is totaly absurd. It has once a year PMS sched, even cheaper than the dmax maintenance, coz I got both. So I am sharing it based on my experience. Thank you.
With MG, the PMS is 2x a year. Or every 10k kms whichever comes 1st. That’s good to know about ford. Thank you for clearing the misconception about ford. My bro-in-law has the Ranger 2023 and it is a great choice for him. Nice!

Good day po. CVT po ay ang usually used type of automatic transmission sa mga kotse ngayon. Kaya it depends on owner/driver’s preference kung okay bah sa kanya.. CVT kasi meron talagang delay, pero depende sa brands.. so better you test drive both cars and choose kung alin mas comfortable e-drive..

salamat sir. yes sir, ganun nah talaga, but it is not affecting naman the performance of the headlight, unless pag grabi yung fogging at nag discolor nah headlight.

Euro brand, owned by a chinese company SAIC motors. Technology wise naadopt ung sa chinese. Cars nowadays only last 5 years and up depending on how you maintain your car.

Ang CVT core plus is the upgrade version ng base model na CVT Core. Added features are infotainment (instead of basic radio) and reverse camera (not sure if with sensor).. But sa MT meron nah lahat yun..

Maybe hindi pa talaga ganun ka.available mga parts na na.mention nyo.. but I think nasa 4-5years pa kailangan palitan ang mga parts na yan, so probably by that time may mga nagbebenta na.. lalo na dumarami ang nabudol..hehe

I also want to share my personal experience in our MG 5 Style kahit 11months palang sya with 10.5k ODO (Bought April 2021) My minor issues: 1. July 2021 - The battery got drained noong hndi namin nagamit ng 2weeks tapos malamig panahon. Pero after 30mins of battery series procedure naging okay na ulit sya at hndi na naulit. 2. November 2021 - Overcharged AC freon, biglang uminit ang buga ng aircon. Pero after 1hour of changing AC freon at CASA e okay na at mas lalo pa lumamig ang AC! Paliwanag ng CASA na overcharged AC freon from Planta ang naikabit sa unit on production. 3. Very minor issue IMO, pero sana naiaangat yung dalawang wipers kht hndi ioff yung engine sabay pindot ng wiper lever 4. Very minor issue, isang rear foglamps lang ang gumagana 5. Very minor issue, No manual trunk opener inside the car, minsan yung mga parking guards nahhirapan kapain ung trunk button so bumababa ako para ako na mag open haha 6. Very minor issue, When engine is on, walang option para temporarily na ilock yung car example kapag iihi ako during stop over. -- sa very minor issues na nabanggit ko, baka my marrecommend kyong way. Thanks Goods about this unit: 1. Driving/Riding comfort, compare sa mga rivals nya in its segment. Mas maganda tlga suspension ni MG5, nakapagdrive nako ng vios, reina at mirage g4 kaya ko nacompare 2. Looks, quite timeless design, really europian interior/exterior, sobrang pansinin sa kalsada! 3. Space, napakalawak ng loob pati trunk 4. Power, high compression ratio si engine, not sure pero kapag 99RON (shell v-Power unleaded) ang gamit ko ay mas malakas ang hatak ng car unlike kay 95RON (shell regular unleaded) eventhough 92RON ang minimum fuel requirements ni MG5. Napansin din yan ng GF ko noong humahataw ako bkt parang humina daw ang hatak kasi regular unleaded gamit ko noon. Anyways MG5 is quite fast as hell. 5. Price-to-Tech ratio, hndi ka lugi sa tech ng unit na to compare sa ibang rivals with the same price range 6. Safety features, that's why bagay din sya for newbie drivers. 7. MANY MORE! Overall, very good and satisfying car, kudos to Sir Tyrone :)

Sir yung mga naging issues nyo, how soon was CASA able to fix or replace those parts po? choosing between MG5 style and Brio RS BT here.

Ang CVT core plus is the upgrade version ng base model na CVT Core.
Added features are infotainment (instead of basic radio) and reverse camera (not sure if with sensor)..
But sa MT meron nah lahat yun..

Core MT has only 4 speaker at the front seats only.
Will it void the warranty if you change the rims with the same rim size and tire size? Aftermarket fog lights are also available in lazada/shopee, pwedi palagyan without voiding the warranty?
For the rims, as long as below 18s, it’s okay.
For electronics/lights, it should have no splices to keep the warranty..

I also want to share my personal experience in our MG 5 Style kahit 11months palang sya with 10.5k ODO (Bought April 2021)
My minor issues:
1. July 2021 - The battery got drained noong hndi namin nagamit ng 2weeks tapos malamig panahon. Pero after 30mins of battery series procedure naging okay na ulit sya at hndi na naulit.
2. November 2021 - Overcharged AC freon, biglang uminit ang buga ng aircon. Pero after 1hour of changing AC freon at CASA e okay na at mas lalo pa lumamig ang AC! Paliwanag ng CASA na overcharged AC freon from Planta ang naikabit sa unit on production.
3. Very minor issue IMO, pero sana naiaangat yung dalawang wipers kht hndi ioff yung engine sabay pindot ng wiper lever
4. Very minor issue, isang rear foglamps lang ang gumagana
5. Very minor issue, No manual trunk opener inside the car, minsan yung mga parking guards nahhirapan kapain ung trunk button so bumababa ako para ako na mag open haha
6. Very minor issue, When engine is on, walang option para temporarily na ilock yung car example kapag iihi ako during stop over.

Goods about this unit:
1. Driving/Riding comfort, compare sa mga rivals nya in its segment. Mas maganda tlga suspension ni MG5, nakapagdrive nako ng vios, reina at mirage g4 kaya ko nacompare
2. Looks, quite timeless design, really europian interior/exterior, sobrang pansinin sa kalsada!
3. Space, napakalawak ng loob pati trunk
4. Power, high compression ratio si engine, not sure pero kapag 99RON (shell v-Power unleaded) ang gamit ko ay mas malakas ang hatak ng car unlike kay 95RON (shell regular unleaded) eventhough 92RON ang minimum fuel requirements ni MG5. Napansin din yan ng GF ko noong humahataw ako bkt parang humina daw ang hatak kasi regular unleaded gamit ko noon. Anyways MG5 is quite fast as hell.
5. Price-to-Tech ratio, hndi ka lugi sa tech ng unit na to compare sa ibang rivals with the same price range
6. Safety features, that's why bagay din sya for newbie drivers.
7. MANY MORE!
