Her range in this song is not D3 to B5, it is C3 to Bb5 her total range is way bigger she can go both higher and lower than what you see here, her recorded range as of now at the age of 21 is from A2 up to a D6 and she can belt powerfully, her highest note on chest voice is a D5 which is INSANE. Her voice is totally unique and it is exactly like you heard here no effects . Diana is always an experience, if you think that this is just a lightning strike and will not just be repeated again, all you have to do is watch more from her and witness continuous lightning strikes again and again and again cause there is no other polyphonic dramatic Contralto out there.

Don't know if you know this: The guy standing up first and giving the first comment on this performance is Yusif Eyvasov, an opera tenor from Azerbaijan, and he obviously has heard many well skilled and trained voices. He was married to the famous opera singer Anna Netrebko then, so I think it is not easy to impress him - but Diana did!
Diana also has an extremely triumphant story overcoming a horrible youth. She was born to an abusive addict single mother who abandoned her at a bus stop in the winter with a broken collar bone. She found a wonderful adoptive mother. She couldnt initially talk well and was encouraged to get singing lessons to learn to talk. And that unlocked this savant. Youll want to look up polyphonic overtones. That is how she makes that layered autotune like sound. She also has mastered being able to move her larynx around to more positions than anyone else on earth. Her Russian peices are arguably even better than her english songs as she uses a broader range of techniques. Rechenka and the crow are two good examples.

When I first heard Diana, she sang "Yodel Time" in front of those musical "luminaries" who didn't turn to look at her, but they heard her! Since then I have been following her development. When I heard and watched "I Can't Help Falling in Love" in a minor key, I, the old, hard tree, stood up, froze, didn't breathe and realized that I was "losing my image"! What a great informed and knowledgeable reaction. The problem with listening to Diana when you understand music is you can’t believe what you’re hearing. She is famous even in live small venue performances with her singing, completely a cappella on just an open mic where you hear her polyphonic overtones which are a natural gift from God. Polyphonic singers are known, but typically when you hear somebody doing polyphonic singing, it almost sounds like they’ve got a regular voice as well as something like from a UFO singing an overtone. Her unique gift is her overtones are natural sounding and truly as I stated a completely unique gift from God. And there is no better person on earth to receive this gift than her, careful if you look into her childhood because it is absolutely brutal. Fame and fortune could not happen to a better person.
She has this polyphonic ability naturally. She has a cover of “RISE LIKE A PHOENIX” live at 17’ years old and you will hear the multiple tones. She can turn on the contralto polyphonic but she lately hasn’t. Many people truly think she’s an ALIEN but she’s just a phenomenon, one in a billion. This show had a cool technological aspect -- the stage design was augmented by VR technology -- so all the lightning effects and the giant blue ball were VR. Also, in case you're interested, there were 9 performers on the show, and they assigned one another points, 2 through 9 with no repeats, each week. There was also a guest judge each week. There was no big prize, and there was no getting voted off the show -- once the performers fully understood this, they relaxed a bit, and it became a very friendly show. This was a live performance and her voice only :) Diana has such a unique and rare talent and I believe she transports us each time somewhere... Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. No effects are used on her voice, just an utterly unbelievable and natural one-of-a-kind tone. As a Dramatic Contralto, she must be in an extremely small class of vocalists. In fact she must be a class of only one. Numerous reactors have similar reactions to her voice, confused as to how it can genuine. But it is. P.S. Unless I’m mistaken, the first female blonde judge later sang a duet with Diana on a live rendition of “Un-break My Heart”. Their shared performance is recommended.

I once heard her sing a cappella as she was accused of having her voice electronically altered, in this competition, you do hear some low backing vocals that are harmonizing with her but that doubling effect you hear is all her. Diana first became well known on TH-cam when she was 14 and won the Russian talent show called You Are Super on the NTV channel (НТВ in Cyrillic). If I remember correctly, one of her performances logged 80 million views before politics blocked that channel. Her range in this song is not D3 to B5, it is C3 to Bb5 her total range is way bigger she can go both higher and lower than what you see here, her recorded range as of now at the age of 21 is from A2 up to a D6 and she can belt powerfully, her highest note on chest voice is a D5 which is INSANE.

So far as we know today Diana's vocal range goes from a low C3 to a high D6. She reaches that high D6 in her duet with Brandon Stone "The day you...". And it is a sustained D6 right after a sustained C6.

He was married to the famous opera singer Anna Netrebko then, so I think it is not easy to impress him - but Diana did!
Diana also has an extremely triumphant story overcoming a horrible youth. She was born to an abusive addict single mother who abandoned her at a bus stop in the winter with a broken collar bone. She found a wonderful adoptive mother. She couldnt initially talk well and was encouraged to get singing lessons to learn to talk. And that unlocked this savant.

When I first heard Diana, she sang "Yodel Time" in front of those musical "luminaries" who didn't turn to look at her, but they heard her! Since then I have been following her development. When I heard and watched "I Can't Help Falling in Love" in a minor key, I, the old, hard tree, stood up, froze, didn't breathe and realized that I was "losing my image"! What a great informed and knowledgeable reaction. The problem with listening to Diana when you understand music is you can’t believe what you’re hearing. She is famous even in live small venue performances with her singing, completely a cappella on just an open mic where you hear her polyphonic overtones which are a natural gift from God. Polyphonic singers are known, but typically when you hear somebody doing polyphonic singing, it almost sounds like they’ve got a regular voice as well as something like from a UFO singing an overtone. Her unique gift is her overtones are natural sounding and truly as I stated a completely unique gift from God. And there is no better person on earth to receive this gift than her, careful if you look into her childhood because it is absolutely brutal. Fame and fortune could not happen to a better person.

She is able to emphasize her overtones and undertones and that is what sounds like there are two notes at the same time. This is a competition show they have to sing live. Diana has a huge inventory of songs and she sounds like this almost all of them.Everybody that’s hurt her for the first time makes the mistake that her voice has been altered or is layered. This show had a cool technological aspect -- the stage design was augmented by VR technology -- so all the lightning effects and the giant blue ball were VR.
Also, in case you're interested, there were 9 performers on the show, and they assigned one another points, 2 through 9 with no repeats, each week. There was also a guest judge each week. There was no big prize, and there was no getting voted off the show -- once the performers fully understood this, they relaxed a bit, and it became a very friendly show. Some of them later said that Diana Ankudinova was a big part of making the behind the scenes atmosphere friendly and fun.

No effects are used on her voice, just an utterly unbelievable and natural one-of-a-kind tone. As a Dramatic Contralto, she must be in an extremely small class of vocalists. In fact she must be a class of only one. Numerous reactors have similar reactions to her voice, confused as to how it can genuine. But it is.
P.S. Unless I’m mistaken, the first female blonde judge later sang a duet with Diana on a live rendition of “Un-break My Heart”. Their shared performance is recommended.

I once heard her sing a cappella as she was accused of having her voice electronically altered, in this competition, you do hear some low backing vocals that are harmonizing with her but that doubling effect you hear is all her. Rechenka. She performs this at the age of 14 and we'll leave you stunned and wondering what you just heard and seen. From there she also does a cover of Chris isaak's wicked games. She also does a performance of rag'n'bone. Human and being this new into her capabilities don't waste your time trying to categorize her because at this point she can almost sing high enough to break glass so if you want to be amazed every single performance that she does and I must say you haven't even started good yet because there are so many many many many many more ahead of you and I can assure you she is unlike anyone else you've ever experienced

Diana is magical. Find her live cover of Wicked Game at 15 years old...equally spectacular, atmospheric and dark. Find her original work too. I've followed her for more than half a decade from Texas...enjoyed it.
Wrong about the multiple tracks thing. It's all her in one take. Live, as you can see. No mic affects allowed in the competition. She's known for this and has exhibited the capability in other performances. A good starting place is her performance, at age 14 on the contest show You Are Super (for orphaned and otherwise disadvantaged kids), of Rechenka (Реченька). You may not understand the words in Russian and the CC is pretty inaccurate but that won't matter as her voice will mesmerize you, as it did the judges. Diana first became well known on TH-cam when she was 14 and won the Russian talent show called You Are Super on the NTV channel (НТВ in Cyrillic). If I remember correctly, one of her performances logged 80 million views before politics blocked that channel.
Fortunately the TH-camr Kwstas_Vagias has managed to get most of Diana's NTV performances onto his yt channel.

This performance was spectacular, and even more so when you know the stress this 14 year old girl had been feeling.
