I find that this message was very true in my life, personally. That age was a very dark time for me because I was without God. I had so much time and energy, but it was not aimed at any goal. It was all wasted and left me feeling very lost, and like a failure.

Ether 12:4 says: "whosoever believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God." You have to have hope for the future, or you won't be happy. Hope comes from God. You can't really find it anywhere else. But follow God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and do as they do, and move forward and change the world, and you will love to live because you get to see the brighter future that you are creating. I was so depressed I didn't want to lose so i started to sing church songs for a hour and read my Bible for a hour that's 2 hours a day I would spend time with GOD then 4 months later my depression went away i couldn't belive it I can actually say I don't have depression anymore. Jesus set me free I have to thank my hardest times for introducing me to christ not the good times I'm not saying all bad things are good of course not but we all need some struggle real Christians will all tell you I was at my darkest when I found christ.
Now it happens to people in their 20's because getting established with house car insurance etc is much harder because the cost of living is higher, combined with the fact that many young adults "start life" with thousands in debt from college.
