They will turn red and will slowly change through all colors including red, yellow, purple and others. So there is actually more than 3 colors. It will also keep cycling through them all. Press the button again once and it goes to orange standard.

Of course it is ultimately a personal decision... but personally I am so much happier now after not just altering the head... but swapping the bodies with the 2022 New Eternia Skeletor as well. I love it now! Masterverse Snake Men are coming? Yes please! From your lips to Zoar's ears, I hope so!!! 🤞
To be fair, the Origins Wind Raider and Stridor (and now Night Stalker) have more than enough room for Masterverse figures. Stridor even looks better with Masterverse Fisto vs Origins.
I agree with you about the lack of vehicles and playsets. Masterverse is the only MOTU line ever to not have a Castle Grayskull. This throne is an awesome step in the right direction.
I think the problem lies in its scale, the figures are pretty huge compared to classics and origins. If we do get a Castle Grayskull I definitely see it being a kickstarter project. I wouldn’t mind more diorama pieces like this one though
Yes!!! Masterverse needs a Castle Grayskull at the very least and this throne is definitely a step in the right direction. 🙂 I personally would LOVE to see a Masterverse New Eternia Castle Grayskull based on the Mark Taylor original design. New Eternia is all about those "Classic Concepts"! 😀
I only wanted Skeletor for the Alcala head, but this review has swayed me into also getting the throne. I already bought the Skelly from a guy, but I think I’ll have to buy a whole set and sell my double Skelly. Dag nabbit!!
I seriously can’t get over how they nailed this one… it’s as if they did it just for me, with all the right notes and the right style, the right scenes, compositions. colors. This packaging art right here - some of the best modern box art out there IMHO, comparing all figures & toys made, makes me ecstatic to say how much I feel it’s an amazing time to be a MOTU collector now. For me and throughout my life, the art is equally important to the figure in my collecting.
Damn, I haven't seen so much chin since the Cartoon Collection's Man At Arms! And the boil/freeze hack really does work (shout out to fanboysforever for teaching me the technique). This is a nice set with well done lighting effects, but it's your head swap on Skeletor that really sends it over the top! I don't really collect Masterverse so this was a pass but your review has me reconsidering. That's a lot of throne for an Origins figure but Skeletor's ego is so big, it kind of makes sense.
The head swap was huge my friend! It took a lot of work to get me across the finish line with this Skeletor... but once I got there.. I was so happy. (He's actually right next to me as I type this.😀) True, it is a lot of throne for an Origins figure... but the positive is it is basically the Filmation throne brought to life! 😀
My only problem with this fig they dont gived him a aword for the price they ask tjat would be not impossible. too give him the barbarian skeletor sword
I get that. $70 U.S. is a big investment. Perhaps they could have offered a version without a figure, or maybe even scaled back on some of the packaging to soften the blow to our bank accounts.
The Alcala Head is the real winner here, I bet it looks amazing on the 40th anniversary Skeletor. Great review AJ!
