    Apricot balls
Ingredients: cooking potatoes 1 kg, universal flour 300 g, a pinch of salt, stoned apricots - a dozen? (can´t specify, sorry). To sprinkle: bread crumbs OR crushed poppy seeds OR curd (pot, cottage) cheese (must be crumbly), melted butter.
    1. boil the potatoes in skin. 2. let the potatoes cool down, then peel and fine shred them. 3. mix them with flour (the dough has to be tougher). 4. Create a dough „bannock“ and wrap it around the apricot making a ball. 5. Cook the apricot balls untill they float on the water - about 10-12 minutes.
In this recipe, they are sprinkled with crushed poppy seeds (which is very popular here in Central Europe) mixed with powdered sugar. We eat them with dry-fried bread crumbs (you have to stir them continuously, be careful as they love to burn suddenly after a couple of minutes) mixed with powdered sugar and pour with a couple of drops of melted butter. You can also use fine cottage cheese (curd cheese, pot cheese -not creamy but crumbly), powdered sugar, and melted butter. This food can be served as the main course, kids love sweet main courses in our country.
SAHIRA says it´s good to cook the potatoes in advance (a day) and put a sugar cube into the apricot. And the dough shouldn´t be too thick but better thin.

dobre je si tie zemiaky uvariť deň predtým, do vykôstkovanej marhule strčiť malu kocku cukru- je to viac šťavnatéa cesto nemá byť na marhule hrubé,ale tenšie
