    Swarovski Digiscoping Part 2
    • Swarovski Digiscoping ...
    In this first installment of our two-part series on digiscoping with Swarovski scopes, we explain how DSLR and point & shoot cameras can be used with Swarovski spotting scopes to capture images that would otherwise require extremely long telephoto lenses.

    Please make a review video by connecting a cheaper spotting scope with acceptable quality like Celestron Regal M2 80ED spotting scope and a Sony a77 DSLR camera. The spotting scope comes with T-adapter ring for 35mm/digital SLR photography but I don't know if it is compatible with Sony a77 DSLR.

    Whatever the telescope,its aperture or the diameter of its main, light-gathering lens or mirror is called the objective. The bigger the aperture, the sharper and brighter your view will be and will allow you to use more magnification.

    I am assuming by "fast" you are referring to a photographic lenses max f/stop. A scopes aperture or the diameter of its main, light-gathering lens or mirror is called the objective. The bigger the opening, the sharper and brighter your view will be and will allow you to use more magnification. This information is listed with the scope on our product web pages.

    Not at it's widest zoom setting. You'll need to zoom in a little to eliminate it entirely.

    I have the ATS 65 with a 25-50 eyepiece. I was very interested in the point and shoot setup after what you said about the zoom, but will a bridge camera work? I have an old Fuji film hs30exr, but I also have Canon DSLRs if the Fuji doesn’t work could I put say a 50mm prime on my 5DIII? Or would I be better buying a new point and shoot? Sorry there’s so many questions but you have whetted my appetite for this system.

      @BandH  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A small bridge camera could work. lease note: Supported Cameras: Up to 52.5 mm (from tripod socket to lens surface), with the Swarovski DCB II Digiscoping Swing Adapter for ATS/STS HD, ATM/STM Spotting Scopes B&H # SWDCB2ATS. bhpho.to/2GlB6UE Please contact us via e-mail if you have additional questions: askbh@bandh.com >Mark

    I am using a Nikon D500 with TLS APO, connected to the Swarovski 95 with 30x70 angled eyepiece.
    I have difficulty getting a decent focus on all but the closest objects at x30. Is this normal ? On these
    birds I can get better photos using my Nikkor 200-500 telephoto. Am I doing something wrong ?
    I have tried a variety of camera settings

  • @BandH
    @BandH  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Swarovski scopes are very sharp and their top model (Swarovski STX-95) has an Objective Lens Diameter of 95mm's.

    Use a Pentax camera and turn on focus trapping... Pentax scopes are also amazing, and can mount to your DSLR with a super-cheap adapter

    • @allaboutroofing2
      @allaboutroofing2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Who makes the cheap adapter and does it screw on where the rubber eye relieve ring would go? I just got a pentax pf80ed with the 20-60 eye piece.

    • @kishascape
      @kishascape 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@allaboutroofing2it's just called a t-mount adapter as the Pentax scope uses 1.25 inch eyepieces just like astronomy telescopes. You take the eyepiece off and use the scope as a camera lens. If you actually owned it you would know this.

    So what is the 35mm equivalent focal length of one of these lenses?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As an example, a Swarovski ATS-65 HD 20-60x65mm Spotting Scope with Eyepiece (Angled Viewing) B&H # SWATS65HD20 with the proper adapter on a full frame DSLR would give you an approximate focal length equivalent of a 750-1800mm zoom lens.

      Absolutely. The HookUpz 2.0 Universal Adapter from Carson Optics B&H # CAIS200 fits Any 25-58mm eyepiece and holds phones up to 3.75" wide. bhpho.to/2ibnweV >Mark

    Still a heck load of money! :p I'm curious about the working in combination with a DSLR. Only manual focus supported, is probably the downside instead of the telephoto lenses :)
