"The best film to ever be called a disappointment" honestly made me slightly emotional because of how true it is. I just hope this movie finds an audience on what's left of home video and streaming because it deserved so much better than it got.
Even after the apocalypse, Aussie roads have fewer pot holes than where I live. Their department of transportation must have survived somehow. Late at night, road crews fix up all the potholes made by people throwing explosives at each other while driving. Just in time for next day's road war. Someone should do a movie about the road crews.
I really liked Furiosa despite the common criticisms (too much CG, etc.). I recommended it to all my friends after watching it on a big screen at the end of May. I really hope we can still see sequels in the future.

Tom Burke's (Jack) Aussie accent was spot on. Not many Poms could pull it off without their Brits seeping through accidentally. Tom was excellent in thos movie, hope there's a prequel story for him.

Also, the source of his name is Shrouded in Myth and could refer to (among other things) the compass points, a fight with eight other warlord bosses, or have simply originated from an octopus kite the Octoboss found before adopting that name.
Octoboss ended up being one of my favourite characters, his design and performance is so captivating, he could have had his own movie too. seriously, he's like Mad Max's 'Boba Fett', visually cool with only a few scenes.
I still feel sad whenever I think about the Mortifiers all dying during the War Rig heist. They had such a badass design and they really went all-in on capturing it.

Too many people thought it was another Disney Girl Boss movie and avoided it. They messed up, because this movie is badass like the Original Road Warrior with Fury Road style action.
Having Immortan Joe being the regional manager in this movie is so interesting cuz Fury Road is only from the Wives' and Furiosa's POV so of course he's scary & ruthless. To everyone else, he's just the old boss
Furiosa gave a totally different context to Immortan Joe's ruthlessness, he almost seems like the voice of reason at times and it's just another reason why he's one of the greatest villains ever.
Huh? He IS ruthless and terrifying to everyone else, he has a whole cut of warboys, people below are starving and still don't revolt because of fear, wives/milk mothers etc. suffer their fates in silence, everyone obeys him with no argument because they ARE afraid of him, not just because he's the ''boss''.
@@feonjun yeah you start analysing how things are done and if you fall into that trap it ruins scenes for you, because you no longer focus on whats happening but on what must have happened in the studio, although I'm still able to differentiate and enjoy the movie. :D Friend said it's probably his no.1 movie in 2024, we really enjoyed the movie and the visuals.
I could recall that Scrotus' face looks weird with noticeable computer effects while he was looking down at the dogman trying to hook the hanging truck. Same thing with the little warboy (Quaden) while he was asking his colleagues whether or not he could use the bommy knocker. Just straight out a video game.
Fans/audience have become vicious. If they don't like the characters/plot/story.... they start attacking the VFX/CGI. It is low hanging fruit, when they can't verbalize what they hate.
It was a wild choice by Miller to have a movie go down in history for its amazing practical effects, then turn around and fill the sequel with CGI and expect no one to care

I went in thinking it was gonna flop but I did genuinely enjoy. Not perfect but still thoroughly enjoyable. Looking fwd to the new entries in the Mad Max universe
To me fury road was shot better, had better characters and the action was considerably better but furiosa also had elements to which I liked more than fury road. I liked the world building, I liked how they tied in the video game, I liked the Easter eggs and dementus is my favourite MM villain so far. I also liked how furiosa bought back some of the old school Mad Max brutality. Overall both are amazing movies but I would say fury road is the better of the 2.

I didn't really want to see Furiosa, but my husband convinced me and I thought it was pretty solid. I think I even liked it more than he did. Chris Hemsworth killed it in his role, and I thought the movie did a great job of making that every single scene moved the story forward in some way or another.
I was going to say Mulan's disguise was great. She even changed the physical shape of her jawline. Then I remembered they did a remake and disappointed myself.

A friend and I, both VFX Artists, went this and we didn't find the effects soo bad. There were a couple of scenes yeah but overall it was pretty good.
Being a VFX artist probably ruined a lot of heavy CGI movies for ya. It's similar to me who used to work at Pizza Hut and will never eat pizza again.

A lot of tires are made from petroleum byproducts. So the materials are probably sourced from Gastown.
