Great video Rae! I used this many years ago and it works great for fine TWA. I recently picked this up because it was on sale, that was a big mistake. Now Glycerin is the second ingredient. I live in a humid state, so I will stick with Camille Rose products. Thanks for trying it for us😀 I want to try the Alikay Naturals Lemongrass gel you like for a mold look, but it is not available.
Thank you! I love Camille Rose products. The alikay naturals lemongrass gel is available on their website. You can usually get it on amazon as well. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts.💛
I’ve used this in the past year and it doesn’t last long. I got good definition but definitely had my hair sticky as the days went by and it left a bit of a sticky build up that I didn’t like. (You got the same thing too i see) It did define your hair good and it look moisturized
I typically use it as a topper for my twists during the colder months. Or i use it under a harder holding gel if using for a wash and go. I agree with you about it looking like a custard versus a more gel consistency.
Hi Rae I totally agree it’s a no 😂 and second day hair 😮. I have never purchased anything but the deep conditioner which I love. I was planning on getting the shampoo in the future that you previously recommended but if it isn’t all that anymore then no need to purchase since I have several shampoos that I love. Thanks for the review and taking another one for the team 🤗
Hey Rae, I've seen so many design essentials products in TJMaxx and Marshalls. For whatever reason, the products just don't call to me. I know for sure I'll be picking up the shampoo since you rave about it lol. Edit: OH NOOOOO, not they changed the formula 😭
😂😂😂 the shampoo is still good, but it's just not as good as it was. I understand when a product doesn't speak to you. I am like that about the Tabitha Brown. I hate to say it, but I am just not interested in it and people say that it's really good. Thanks for tuning in.
I tried this custard, and was not able to find a combo that gave me any hold. I wonder without a leave-in with the bee girl mousse, if that would give more good days. Anyway, i was counting on you to find the right combo😅
😂😂😂too funny. I know the combo I did definitely wasn't the right one. Someone said that pairing it with a harder holding gel works for them, so you might try that. If I brave this gel again and come up with something that works, you know I will let y'all know.. Thanks for tuning in.
It’s funny that it says it’s a medium to firm hold because I like it for the softer hold 🤣 I think the moisturizing lotion contributed to your results, but I think you should keep in mind that the hold isn’t strong enough for a wash and go in my opinion. It’s good for a twist out or for a wash and go that is immediately stretched with the revair.
I agree that the moisturizing lotion probably didn't help my results, but I do think that it is strong enough for a wash and go for me and the way I like my hair. I didn't mind the bigness of it, I just didn't like the balls or the dullness of it. Maybe next time I will use it for a twist out and see if I like that better. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts.💛
I’m having that same problem I have so many shampoo I’m still not satisfied so I just use them for shower gels I’m still looking to a moisturizing shampoo 🙄
Curls Blueberry Bliss shampoo is really good. Camille Rose Coconut Water Shampoo is really moisturizing. I also like the Pattern and Adwoa blue Tansy shampoos. they are considered clarifying but they are really moisturizing in my opinion. Hope that helps.
I did not enjoy Design Essentials almond & avocado products for my hair. I will be giving my products away. I might give it another try but no time soon.
I like the shampoo and deep conditioner. The mousse is really good, too, in my opinion but I can pass on this gel. They do have a cream gel that I like so I will probably just stick to that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

It was a no for me too and I used it with the leave in.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing how you use the gel. Maybe next time, I'll try one of those choices. Thanks for tuning in.
I’ve used this many times but only with a twist out. Also, I used a hair milk as a leave in… not enough to use by itself…
Thanks for trying this! I was worried because of the glycerin so I gave it to my husband and he likes it ❤ his hair is way shorter
Thanks for tuning in.

Yeah, if you have shampoos you love, stick with those. Thanks for tuning in.

@@NaturalRaeRae I definitely get it. I liked the conditioner from her and want to try a few more things but it’s no rush for me.

Hey Rae nice video, hopefully you will like the custard as a one and done❤
We'll see

I use that design curl cream before it didn’t work for my hair neither I think I’m going to toss it I only use it one time🙄
Yeah, it's something about the texture that turns me off a bit. Thanks for tuning in.

@@NaturalRaeRae ok thanks I’ll try one of them on my next wash day take care 😇
So what products do you recommend?
I need more clarity on this question.
I have never used this, however, I though that gel was a goldish color and more gel like.
That is how it used to be, that's why I said that I think they may have changed it. Either way, i didn't care for it. Thanks for tuning in.💛
Wow I hate those bowl I’ve experienced that too in my past

I know I have tried something from that line but don’t remember what 🤦🏽♀️ sorry it was a fail
I think you tried the Deep Conditioner and really liked it. I remember watching your video on it. Thanks for tuning in.
That’s funny, I adore this product but I do have fine, porous hair.
Do you use it alone or with a leave-in?
I use it alone.
This combo was definitely a bust unfortunately. I’m surprised at Design Essentials!
Yeah, this combo did not do it for me. I do like some of their other products, but this gel is definitely a pass. Thanks for tuning in and commenting.
I tried this by itself and with the mousse and it was a no both times
Thanks for sharing
It was no for me also.
I tried that product and it failed me.... My hair was sticky and frizzy.
Sorry to hear that. Thanks for tuning in and sharing1
It was a no for me, too.
