I feel like that line is always used to trap the MC and make him feel guilty about ignoring the popular girl. But I gotta admit him ignoring Nagisa made him a bit of a chad but I’m not surprised he ended up with her. It’s always bound to happen but it was nice that he came to cheer her on during the competition. Overall it’s a decent story

First, I thought of this Manga as the usual silly and superficial introvert nerd vs. fleshy queen bee plot, but then found myself surprised by the intriguing dialogues of the two protagonists in the final minutes. The (almost) indifferent, philosophical tone of their conversation conveyed a touch of an existentialist romance. Had they both worn black outfits and smoked cigarettes, the illusion of imagining Sartre discuss with his partner Beauvoir would have been perfect. 🕶🕶

Here’s another story idea: 11 year old Male MC gets traumatized by punishment game made by FMC, who he secretly has a crush on and same age, to the point where he will never again fall in love again. Years later, he’s an introvert anime otaku that believes that 2D girls are the best and has a grudge against his childhood friend and all 3D girls. A day later, that same FMC, who moved away, moves back to the same high school as the MC, gotten more beautiful, and she feels guilty for what she’s done and tries to everything to get him to forgive her. However, the MC, coldly, dismisses her to the point of pushing her away and running away anytime she crosses path with him. He remains unforgiving for awhile like 6 months. Some of his classmates are annoyed about this and tries to get him to at least listen to her, but her remains stubborn and coldly tells them that this has nothing to do with them so back off. Later on, he comes to his house only to see that same FMC at his house to try to talk to him but he still coldly rejects her and him getting annoyed of her. He tells her to get lost and that he will never forgive her. Soon after, a situation happens to where he has no choice but to listen to her. After hearing her heartfelt apology, he doesn’t forgive her right away but offers her a second chance to which she takes. This is an original story where the MC doesn’t automatically forgives FMC for her insensitive activities but in time forgives her has she never gave up on him. It’s annoying because the MC is a simp for the female when he owes her nothing in the first place.

Moreover, what kind of assurance do I have that you literally will not do the same thing to myself in my own life? What do I get out of this deal? Here is the thing, Nagisa, I not only do not like it when people act as you do towards other boys, but also when I have no assurances that you will not also treat myself that was as well in my own life.
