This was my 1st race at Terre Haute.
It was awesome , that last lap crash happened right in front of me.
Glad everyone was okay.

Terre Haute might want to invest in some fencing on the infield, nearly took a couple of those guys heads off.

@@pressureworks Lots of tracks have at least some fencing around the infield, I can name Williams Grove off the top of my head. And yea maybe this time it stopped the car but hardly. What if one went flipping right over that what 3 or 4ft barrier right into those people? edit: also did you not see the left front come right off and go right into the crowd?

We have a strict policy at our tracks about people staying away from our the inside wall 16 ft because In 2021 a racecar ran over the inside wall and hit 3 spectators standing in the fence and one person did die and two severely injured, They should have a policy everywhere about staying away from inside and outside fences when cars are on track, Very dangerous.

As a racer I often told people that the safest place at the track was in the race car.

After watching this crash, I really hope that the track officials make and uphold stringent rules to keep all track personal away from the barriers in place while racing under green. This was a very close call that no one was injured or killed. I hope that all track officials watch this around the country to never take anything for granted and start enforcing stricter rules to stay away from the track while green flag racing occurs.

Hopefully for balou that chassis aint jumked too bad and can be foxed, if not then thats two junk chassis in the period of about a week for him

It was wierd that Ballou appeared to not be steering away from that wall. Maybe it locked up on him

With the stagger in the rear tires , the brakes make the car pull to the left in situation, especiallly when they run more left rear brake bias

This is why people need to stay off the fence and wall. Seen a guy get killed few years back at a local track. Because he was standing against the inside wall
