Just finished watching the entire series. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for only having ONE episode with boring video - I KNOW it's much more difficult to sync all those clips to the podcast, but the relevant video really made this series pop.
Unlike the California high speed rail, that is being sniped at for cost overruns, this project never faced the specter of being cancelled before completion.
HA! The joke is on us, eh? I remember the tunnel was supposed to promote through area travel, relieve traffic jams, and create *public* green space above ground. Well, from where I often sit in traffic, >That traffic still backs up beyond the Rte3/Rte93-128 split (and even Rte24 and Rte95 splits) to the south multiple times a day and with every in-town "event".. >It doesn't help through drivers going north-south get around "city traffic" when you're stuck in the tunnel with all the people wanting to get to the surface. >The majority of the above ground area has been occupied, and not by the huge open green space which was going to be reminiscent of the D.C. Mall and Central Park whuch we were promised. Yep, it's a bad joke.
So this is simply a justification for an incredibly huge boondoggle. You’re telling us we must accept government mismanagement on a monumental scale if we want something YOU perceive as being “worth it”.
@@fastertrackcreativeWhat park? That remaining tiny sirip of green they sandwiched in? Be serious. We were sold a bill of goods. The huge park / green space that would have served the area with peace, recreation and oxygen was bought up & is being developed -- we were sold out.

We should talk about the MBTA's crisis. The child of the Big Dig's crisis.

Did you ever drive on the old expressway???
How is WGBH, the group that made the first captioning firm the Caption Center, going to hire Rev, the worst captioner in the US?
Wow thats a lots of Money❤❤❤
I realize there's only so much b-roll, but if I have to see those same cars changing lanes...
Stephen Colbert!!!
Lmao they’ve been working “The Big Dig” since 1982… 🤣

I think you are EXACTLY the type of person who would learn a lot watching this series. It may change your mind.
They basically got rid of this eyesore ruining the city centre. A park is so much better.

I can remember when they started on day one and it’s still not over. Really. It is a never-ending nightmare but the 80s and the 90s were the worst
