Definitely worth getting! I’ve never had so much fun with a Mythic before it works so well on MagPlar because of the mag rune, I have so many fun build ideas planned out with it, and thank you for your appreciation!
Base crit resistance is 1320 by default in ESO. Rallying Cry gives another 1650 crit resist (gold quality, playing solo). Together, these two sources alone give 2970 crit resist. Once you are character level 50 and at least CP 160, 66 crit resist is 1% crit resist, so 2970 crit resist is 45% crit resist. Impene gives 127 crit resist per piece, so at six pieces you get another 762 crit resist which is 11.5% crit resist. So your total crit resist goes from 45% with 0 impene up to 56.5% with six impene. That's a considerable investment for pretty negligible gains (in other words, since impene as a trait was nerfed and a lot of its power was given to baseline character states, impene has been subpar as a trait). Rather than six pieces of impene, you could run six well-fitted and get 36% roll dodge cost reduction (which is far more potent and goes well with the theme of the build and could more easily allow the second spell damage glyph you mention as an option), or you could get an extra 6% critical damage and healing out of your Shadow mundus by running six divines. Otherwise, I loved the build.
Interesting build! Looks like I have some leads to track down and dig up haha. I'm leveling a new magplar for PvP and I'm really having a blast, I absolutely love the effect of the "Living Dark" skill, looks really cool!
MagPlar feels great with that mythic well worth the lead farm, plus I completely agree Living Dark is such a good looking skill and it’s really good for survivability

There are 14 slots for gear, I’m using 11 that are the same. There are 12 slots for skills, I’m using 9 the same. Same food, vamp stage, pots, race etc. I’m not pushing the English language beyond it’s semantic capacity to describe it as “almost identical.” Why do you even care?

Hey hex, just curious. Why use the stamina morph of Power of the light? The minor breach from it is wierd, and only effects armor, i guess it effects the dawnbreaker only?
@@Hexapug Its not actually spell resist like a normal minor breach. If you read it only says armor reduced and when I used it on my buddy his spell resist didn't go down. If u look up the minor breach buffs in the game it pops up but also says only armor like the text in the spell
What system do you play on? I play on Xbox NA and just tested and it does reduce their spell resist it might just be a UI bug on the stat sheet, also armor is both now similar to how 1 piece Pirate Skeleton gives Armor which is both Physical and Spell Resist

I'm very curious if the passive that returns magicka while blocking is worth compared to the tankiness ice staff or SnB brings (in any case, you loose ele sus., so that's probably not a good choice).
Yeah the moment I saw the mythic I knew I had to find a way to make it work but I never knew it would work this good! And oh trust me I always want to find a way to fit a Resto on a build for the Major Mending heavies but the Ice Staff with Ele Sus/Major Breach/Minor Brittle is too much damage to pass up on
The heals is a main reason, plus Templar’s have 10% more spell damage and from what ZoS has said Bloodthirsty doesn’t get affected by % modifiers like sorcery or brutality
I actually don’t put any in Tri Focus because with this Mythic and an Ice Staff equip it still costs Stam to block when no points in tri focus are put in, which is great for Mag Sustain
This Mythic is amazing, perfect synergy with MagPlar the rune gives us magic and let’s us run Mag/Crit/Spl Dmg pots without having to worry about our stam what so ever
Definitely run 2 reduce mag cost enchants, or even a 3rd since High Elf gets spell damage on the passive, if you do run a 3rd reduce mag cost put it on a Bloodthirsty trait
So Blocking, Roll Dodge, CC Break, Sneak no longer costs Stam it costs Mag, you no longer regen Mag while blocking or sneaking but can regen Stam while blocking or sneaking, plus it gives 300 mag recov which is an insane amount of recov
So The Stormweaver mythic is the main piece of this build but if you were to run a different mythic I would swap it for Markyn, Death Dealer’s or Sea Serpent if you don’t mind the snare, or a 2nd piece of Trainee if you don’t have a mythic, then I would definitely use the mag javelin, and if if sustain is a little too rough run Orzargas/Jewels of Misrule
Because Templars just have crazy HoT’s so Daggers increase their crit chance while we’re going offensive on our front bar, plus Daggers synergize well with Order’s Wratch
You can run it without the mythic BUT you’d have to change a few things and it wouldn’t feel much of a rolly polly build, you can run Markyn or Sea Serpent if you don’t mind the slow, I would use the Magic Javelin or Toppling Charge, and run Orzafgas/Jewels food
One of the best Magplar builds I’ve seen in a long while. Guess I do have a reason to go farm that mythic.

From my testing I think it does, it doesn’t show on the stat sheet but when I took out the passive my rolls drained more mag than with the passive on

Power of the Light applies Minor Breach which removes almost 3k physical and spell resist

Maybe it’s bugged on PC but more than likely I think it’s just a visual bug and it works
how did you reach 5k pen and i can only get to 2.3k pen? i don't know what i am missing here
That’s from 3 Light Armor passives, and 1 Sharpened and a Blue CP passive that gives I believe 700 pen

The best race for this build would be Khajiit you would hit so hard and heal a lot, but if you value sustain and tankiness more than Breton
