    I find myself mentally saying "YAY!" when you get a good camera, and mentally saying "BUMMER!" when you get a bad one. Hoping you get a better win/loss ratio on the next batch. I find these unboxing videos quite enjoyable though, good work!

      Thanks for the kind words! Yes, this box was a bit rough in comparison to most of the other boxes I've done, but..gotta take the good with the bad! Have a great one Bill!

    I wished for this and I saw "posted 43 seconds ago". I need to get more ambitious with my wishing.

    Dang. Well at least you won't lose money. It's crazy what people are paying for those ELPH series these days.

    I got a newish 50mm lense for 60. They just did not have the box. But it was bought but never hit the camera. They packed it away. And sold it to me for the price

    You should get a bulk roll of film, you can roll out like 4 shot sections of film in an old canister and film test a dozen cameras for one roll's worth. No need for an expensive bulk loading machine, just in the dark tape the bulk roll to a stub from an old canister and rewind it a bit in any film camera, cut a leader, good to go. If you're just testing that the spacing is correct etc. you don't even have to load reels anyway just toss it in a bucket of developer I guess?

    Hi Kevin. That canon film slr it looks like a the latch is the weak spot on loads of canons of that vintage Canon EOS 50e broken latch is so common that you can buy replacement 3d printed parts. A small tab breaks off where it connects to a spring. It stops the latch from returning to the home position.
    I buy untested cameras test and repair it needed, it's a great hobby and I make a few extra €€€€'s now and again.

    I have the same elan model, mine did have the broken latch which was an easy fix
    The eye control function doesn't play nice with glasses but the concept is pretty neat

      Nice! Yes, really cool and kind of revolutionary for it's time wasn't it? This was released while I was a youngster, and while I've sold maybe a half dozen in the last 10 years, it's not a model I have used a ton.

      True and very educational you can learn the history and also what to look for when buying used cameras or lenses!!!

    The 55-250 Is STM is the one you want.. not the earlier models. Used that lens is a heck of a deal. Interestingly Canon hasn't released any equivalent asp-c lens for the RF mount, only a slower one that goes to 210mm. Strange decision on their part.

      @pricklypearcamera  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I have been using the 55-250mm STM exclusively over the prior versions for a while now, night and day difference. And agreed on the lack of comparable model for RF, a bit puzzling...

      Just use the EF to RF adaptor... no problem.

    Never buy untested unless it is super low priced.

    It would be nice if that cracked LCD was just a cracked screen protector!
