If my memory serves me right ( who knows at my age ) the name of that place is Fred Ward Stadium. I played there for S A College in '65. Played with some M D guys , Abernathy and Malik.
jocko8888 Its called Santa Ana stadium and the field is called Eddie West field. Named after a sports writer. There is a Fred Kelly stadium in the city of Orange though.
The offensive line will be the biggest drop off this season for MD. JT Daniels literally had all day to throw this past season. Bryce Young will soon learn the speed and strength of real defensive athletes in the Trinity league and him running around like this is truly a bad thing, trust me. At his size, he's gonna get killed if he doesn't learn to slide.
I get what your saying but they still have the best guard in the country coming back, along with MAJOR d1 recruits as weapons at RB, WR, & TE. These 4 new lineman look pretty damn big & have to face 4 star D-lineman every day in practice, so I think they will be fine. Also Bryce Young can improvise better than any QB I've ever seen out of California & he's only a Jr. Have you seen his tape? The only team that has a chance at beating MD in the Trinity league is Bosco. That's it.

I'm not saying MD's o line will be bad this season because like u said, they have tons of talent on that o line obviously with the tip rated OG in the 2020 class Myles Marao but here's the thing. No matter what stud with stars to back up their status that MD replaces this season, nothing will replace the CHEMISTRY that dominant MD offensive line they had last season bro! Not only were they loaded with D1 caliber lineman on that o line last season but more importantly, that's the same line that lost to Bosco the year before in the southern section CIF championship and they got dominated by Bosco's d line too, and I know because I watched that game. But guess what, that same group of guys went on a mission in the off season with JT and all them studs on offense and produced probably the best overall offensive HS team ever in my honest opinion. MD obviously has very younger talented kids to replace who will be very good still but PLEASE, stop acting like Bryce will have time back there like JT Daniels did this past season. And I know exactly who Bryce Young is and what he can do bro. I've seen him play since his IE Ducks days but this is youth football nor is it Cathedral HS where he played bums. Did you see Bryce's Cathedral HS play Upland HS last year in the CIF playoffs? Yeah, maybe u should watch that game and see what happened to Bryce. They got blasted and even though Bryce did what he had to do to make his team play with some pride, he absolutely got beat up in that game. Now this is against Upland. Imagine him running around with Trinity caliber athletes. Trust me, it's a dangerous move if he tries to improvise too much with his legs if his o line doesn't give him time. Bryce does not have the body size to take that beating. Bosco this upcoming season is potentially basically the MD of this past National Championship type of team. My reasoning is because Bosco brings back basically their whole offense back including their o line and wr's, three very talented and battle tested rb's with senior All CIF rb George Holani and two top 2020 rb's Savage and Sandbeast backing him up. And do I even have to say the #1 overall TOP 2020 QB DJ Uiagalelei leading this team. It should be a very fun year to watch a lot of new players show what they're capable of.
Nowhere in my comment did I ever say anything about Bryce having as much time to throw as JT, nor did I imply it anywhere. Not sure where you got that? There's really no point in comparing anything to last years team, because we will never see anything like that again, but this will still be one of the most loaded offenses in the history of OC football based on talent alone. Coach Rollinson will have to change his gameplan a bit to adjust to Bryce's game, but all I'm saying is that Bryce will have plenty of time to throw this year & the o-line will have plenty of time to jell before trinity league play. Obviously not as much time as JT had, but enough to let Bryce be Bryce (which is pretty damn good). The only close games Mater Dei will have this year are Gorman, IMG, & Bosco. I would consider wins in 2/3 of those games a VERY successful year for MD. We need to stay clear of any sort of comparison to last year. There is no point
Billy Blanks - Cuz, they have 2 returning starters on the OLine. What's even better is that they are now Sophomores are juniors. MDs Oline will be the most dominant in years to come.
