    Thanks so much for your expertise. I went over some of my old X-ray and ct scans. It said some degeneration on my apophyseal joints and bone spurs and osteophytes
    Also I was born with spina bifida oculta.
    But the most important is the faucet joints. You hit the nail in the head. My pain is in the faucets joint. When I bend forward or back, from side to side it’s hurts like a bugger, puts tears in my eyes. My back locks when I bend forward and it hurts when I stand back up.
    Thanks to you maybe now I can gets some relief and gone for good.
    My doctor will probably give me a funny face from watching you tube videos but it’s more then any other Physiotherapist has figured out.
    I literally just talk to my doctor on the phone 5 min ago.
    I will be learning your steps. Cross your fingers. 🙏🏻

      I don't understand how the medical establishment doesn't get that the cause is tightness. You cant bend, because your vertebrae are compressed, the facet joints are compressed, so when you move, they compress even more, smashing already bruised/unhappy structures that seend off a pain/panic signal.
      But they don't. My free program isn't pretty, it's probably not going to make fast results (because facet joint scenario doesn 't have a fast fix), but it starts you moving in the right direction, and starting to move that direction is the only thing that's going to have a chance of reducing pain etc.

    Hi Josh, my pain kicks in mostly as I sleep. I'm super fit (formerly a dancer and still work out and stretch daily, yoga, etc.), but the pain is pretty bad almost every morning (not really painful during the day, although I'm "aware" of it.). Sometimes feel like I can't get a "full" breath in, so have to take shallow ones. My doc wants to do a medial branch block next week to see if I'm a "candidate" for radio frequency ablation. If so, she highly recommends the ablation. Your thoughts? Is it even worth doing the branch block if all it's going to reveal is that an ablation would help? Thank you in advance!

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      This will soung bitter and pessimistic, but of course she recommends the ablation. It's the only tool they have available to diminish/stop pain. Doesn't fix anything, ignores all the causes of the pain and the problem, but hey, why not permanently destroy somebody's nerves. Nerves aren't important, right?
      To anwer your question though, yes if you're going to go that route it's worth doing a branch block, because if they do that and it doesn't help, then an ablation won't help.
      I appreciate that pain sucks and ablation sounds great, and if it's sucessful you wouldn't feel the pain and that sounds attractive. Aaaaaannnnd, just because the pain is gone doesn't mean the problem is gone....and if you don't have pain but the problem still exists......it's going to cause symptoms/problems elsewhere sooner or later.
      Gotta do what you gotta do, certainly.

    Unfortunately I had bilateral nerve ablation of C5-C6, C6-C7, C7-T1 facet joints in Aug 2023 in Florida. After the surgery, I have been feeling a lot worse than before, there are lumps of boths sides of the neck which are very painful, sleep is nearly impossible unless I take strong drugs. Maybe the ablation didn't work. I told the surgeon who said to wait up to 6 months for healing. Things aren't getting better over time, actually worse. As of last week I noticed swelling on both sides of C7-T1 facet joints, but also at left T1-T2 which wasn't ablated. Also feeling referred pain to the left foot. I suppose that it is too late. Any thoughts? Thank you.

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ouch. Sorry to hear that.
      Well....it's not that the ablation procedure didn't work. It went in and destroyed nerves (plus damage done from just getting in there). It presumably did it's job. Killed some nerves. But despite what your surgeon told you, it's not that simple. Not that cut and dry. The nerve wasn't the problem, the problem still exists, and now the nerve(s) are destroyed.
      6 months for healing? Good lord, that's forever. What exactly do they think is going to take 6 months to heal?
      Not your fault, you didn't know, you trusted your doctor(s), you were in pain and getting desperate (pain does that, no shame there), etc. Turns out, that's not always a great direction to go, and once it's done, you're left to live with it.
      Swelling is an entirely unsurprising side effect of damage. I'd be doing 2 minute ice packs as many times a day as you're motivated to do. Inflammation is problematic and sets you up for long term symptoms, get it out of there/dia,l the inflammation process down. Anti-inflammatories are ok in the short run.
      Is it too late? Well, the damage has been done. But everything else is still there. The origional problem is still there (that the doctors utterly ignored).
      Tightness/compression, inflammation process, lack of nutrition. Get to work on that and see what happens.
      You know what quitting results in. You know what surrendering results in. The only good option is to move forwards towards whatever amount of improvement you can get. That there's probably A LOT of improvement available.
      Is 50% better worth it? 70% More?

      @@TendonitisExpert thanks for your quick reply. I know about that right nutrition IE magnesium , B6 and a particular type of B12. Can I still use slow breathing to gently open up those very low facet joints?

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep. The only thing that's really different now than before surgery is that nerves have been destroyed (and damage from insertion of tools through the skin etc).
      Slow breathing that intentionally/purposefully expands the rib cage flexes the joints and the tissue around them. By default they compress and get short and lock down, breathing helps open and give movement, so basically trying to reverse the default trend.

    Hi Josh - looking for some advice!
    I was a gymnast for 10 years in my youth and quit at age 13 because of low back pain that started when I was 11 or 12. It's been hurting ever since. I've tried x-rays and sports doctors who have just told me I have joint hypermobility disorder (which was obvious). I've become conditioned to the pain being part of my everyday life and just take it as a given and am used to it. I don't think anyone ever took the pain seriously. Fast forward I'm 24 and this summer the pain has become unbearable so I got an MRI and it showed degeneration and mild facet/ligamentous hypertrophy at the L5-S1 joint leading to left greater than right-sided foraminal stenosis.
    Today I finally got to see a specialist and was expecting to be redirected to a physio of sorts to help with pain mitigation and of course injections were brought up but not recommended. All the doctor did was recommend a psychotherapy book about re-wiring how my brain receives pain...I want to be open minded but having 0 physical intervention recommended is sort of discouraging and felt like he was basically telling me it's all in my head.
    My question to you based on these 3 videos - this all adds up to me - my muscles are extremely tight all over my body - but you seem to mention this program in relation to people without an actual facet problem. I think I have a combo of the muscular issues which you explained super well but also a hypertrophy problem on the site of the joint (which I think is basically arthritis and the bone overgrowing). Is your program still for me? Desperate to try something new at this point.
    Thanks so much for your informative content
    Elena

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      "It's all in your head" either looks like 'we have no idea what the problem is so you must be making it up' or 'we have no idea how to help you so read this book and just live with the pain, pay at the front desk on your way out thanks.'
      Hypermobility is/can be problematic, depending on the person and their specific scenario. Hypermobility and modern food/nutrition (lack thereof) and gymnastics makes a scenario where it's unsuprising that you have pain etc.
      " my muscles are extremely tight all over my body " Gymnast, yes.
      "- but you seem to mention this program in relation to people without an actual facet problem." Yep. It's all the same dynamic. Towards one end of the spectrum, facet join pain etc shows up. Whether one has facet joint pain or not is a little irrelevant to the overall cause/dynamic (which is, tightness/compression).
      " I think I have a combo of the muscular issues which you explained super well but also a hypertrophy problem on the site of the joint (which I think is basically arthritis and the bone overgrowing). "
      What do you mean specifically by 'hypertrophhy problem'?
      "Is your program still for me? Desperate to try something new at this point." It absolutely is.
      You have tightness/compression, and hypermobility (joint laxity/looseness) which allows for more joint pain/inflammation/grinding from the compression and movement while compressed.

      @@TendonitisExpert Hi - thanks for your response! Yes the "specialist" really did just say that there was nothing else to do because if we knew more about back pain then it wouldn't be so prominent...pretty discouraging.
      My MRI showed hypertrophy of the joint + ligament - from my understanding it means it's enlarged. I guess from overuse? So I meant to say that in addition to compression caused by my evident muscle tightness, the joint itself has become enlarged...wasn't sure where that falls into all this.
      I started taking the supplements and need to become a bit more regular with the other methods but so far I have seen some relief, especially combining your program with regular stretching.

      "What are your thoughts on massage guns for muscle relaxation?" Absolutely. (As long as it's not to 'much' for your nervous system and the impacts cause muscles to tighten up to guard and protect.) Start light, don't push it. Or, push it only as appropriate.
      "Or other methods? I want something a little more than just using my thumbs if possible..." Anything that does what needs to get done, absolutely. Massage guns, massagers, massage tools, etc. Yep.

      Tendinitits, tendinosis, there's no functional difference for you, because both are caused by the same set of factors. You're going to deal with the factors, and the tendonitis/tendinosis will resolve.

      Ultimately yes. I don't think it's a secret, but the secret is, all my programs are essentially the same (short of info about specific locations). The power there, is that the tendonitis dynamic is the tendonitis dynamic no matter where it shows up. Understanding that gives on access to a whole new level of keeping ones body functional and pain free.
      Nutrition is systemic, obviously, so will affect function locally and systemically. And there's some figuring out how to work on different body parts, but the technique is the same.

    hello, quick question regarding tendinitis in the wrist. if on my palm side of my hand i have wrist pain that once used to cause tingling in my fingers but went away, is that carpal tunnel or can tendinitis cause tingling too? the tingling is gone but i still have pain in the wrist and even when i do carpal tunnel tests there’s no tingling anymore it was temporary. I guess my question here is can tendinitis cause those symptoms, or should i look more into this injury being carpal tunnel

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically it's probably carpal tunnel, but ultimately, tightness is the problem, no matter what you call it. Is there tightness in the area that causes connective tissue over the carpal tunnel/wrist to compress down? if so, then that tingling etc is possible.
      Carpal tunnel, or tendonitis, the tendonitis dynamic (too tight muscle and connective tissue, inflammation process, and nutritional lack) is the problem. Same dynamic, different 'diagnosis'. Same thing.
      Carpal tunnel symptoms can also come from up at the neck/shoulder.

    If you can deal with the pain, are you doing damage continuing to play sports? I am 53 & been managing it since 35 years old. Played rugby until 42 & now playing racquet sports 3-5 times a week. I am in a lot of pain however would prefer to cope with it rather than not play.

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In general, there is no 'coping' with it. There's just surviving it until it gets so bad youre forced to stop playing, etc.
      You hurt because of chronic tightness. All that tight muscle/connective tissue compresses the vertebrae etc. Hoping it will go away almost never works.

    • @TendonitisExpert

      In general, yes. Having said that, it's more about size than age.
      Magnesium is moderated by, you can only take so much or you'll get loose stool/get stuck on the toilet.
      Vit D3, you want your levels between 60-80ng/ml. So you take enough to get yourself there and stay there.
      50-100 mg/day of B6, depending on if youre larger/smaller.
      B12 methylcobalamin, 5000mcg lozenge dissolved in mouth every other day. (This one is probably least important, but no reason not to go through a bottle of it for all the good reasons.)

    Hello, I just finished your quiz for your facet joint program, and am looking forward to getting started. My only question is, would this program be just as beneficial to someone who has been diagnosed with an L4-L5 bulging disc, mild Loss in their L5-S1, and degenerative disc disease. I’ve had this strange pain in my lower back for the past 8 years after a fall I had skateboarding, and despite staying fit and doing PT, nothing has yet to help this tight pinching sensation that I get when contracting my lower back muscles. I’m an active 30 year old male, but can’t help but think I’ve developed some type of facet joint problem. Thanks in advance for the free program!

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You're welcome!
      Yes, the program applies to all that. Ultimately, the problem is (chronic) tightness. Tightness causes compression (of joints, discs, nerves, etc).
      Giving it a name like 'degenerative disc disease' is both incorrect and misleading. Doctor says that, and you go, oh crap, I have a disease where my disc degenerates. But you don't. You have tightness, which causes constant compression on structures. Over time, that causes all sorts of problems, including pain....and more tightness.

      Short additional answer: You don't have an injury. You have pain from compressionn from chronic and progressive muscle and connective tissue tightness. The only way to get rid of the pain forever is to reverse the problem. Injections may help take pain away for a while.

    Hello. Where are you located and what are your credentials? I've read several comments about people's reservations putting in credit card information even though the program is "free". I'm one of those as well. Your videos and the information provided make sense and sound reasonable. Myself, like many others who are in pain, would welcome whatever noninvasive options are available to relief us from the pain and that's the appeal of the information you provide. Therefore, it would add to your credibility yo know a bit more about you. At least, i wasn't able to find much from your videos and certainly no name, other than the " the tendonitis expert". Finally, do you also work directly with people? I'm assuming you do and these posts are to have a "taste" of who you are and what you do. If so, how do people get in touch and how do you work with them in the virtual world? Thank you for your time.

    • @TendonitisExpert

      Hi there.
      1. I generally don't do hands on work on facet joint problems. Generally because the scenario is too acute for me to do much good/benefit for. I've found with facet joint and low back pain, people doing it on there own at home is best. I mean sure, they can spend a bunch of money to see me three times a week or whatever, but in good conscience I don't do that because they're not going to get much benefit from me, whether it's 1x/week or 5x/week. The dynamic is usually acute, the body doesn't respond well to what I'd do, and there's things they can do at home, regularly, throughout the day, including required nutrition, to help move the body in the directiont we want it to go. Slowly at first, then faster.
      I'm not charging people to go slow. Shoulder tendonitis? Wrist tendonitis? Definitely charging, because I can provide real/noticeable benefit. (but still, I prefer to show people how to fix it themselves...saves me a lot of repetitive work and repetitive telling them how to, and I can help more people that way. Showing people how to fix themselves is my primary business nowadays. Rely on me for the 'why' and the 'how to', and then you own that info and can apply it to your life. I deem that a far higher value than 'I have to go see him in his office to get any benefit, and I will always have to rely on himm for everything'.)
      2. I'm movinng the free program to a different platform here in a month or so (phone app with web page functionality), so the thing about the 'free thing requiring a credit card' will be moot.
      3. My name is all over my website: www.TendonitisExpert.com And in each video I've ever posted (I'm 99% sure about that claim).
      4. Credentials? *shrug* I don't bother caring about proving credentials anymore. All the doctors have all the credentials and credibility, but they didn't provide a fix or a refund, so.....
      The proof is in the puddiing. My stuff works (or it doesn't and you get a no questions asked refund, or you don't even bother to try it and you get a refund, etc). Doesn't matter what my credentials are.
      I get that some people don't like my attitude about credentials, but in my experience there's no making them happy anyway. And the vast majority of people don't care, they just want a fix. Their doctos and pts and all their credentials provided little to no benefit.
      I'm ok with 'the proof is in the pudding'. Results, or lack thereof, is all that ultimately matters.

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think that 'no more pain ever again' isn't really a thing, in general and specifically to your scenario. There are reasons that you have pain. the ablation 100% ignores all those reasons. The pain you have right now may go away for a period of time or even permanently from the ablation, but all the causes of the pain are still there, and they will result in more pain elsewhere sooner or later, because they're still doing 'bad things', and that will result in pain somewhere, some time.

    • @TendonitisExpert
      @TendonitisExpert  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lay face down on the floor multiple times a day. It's the tight muscles on the front of the spine that are a big problem, so if you're going to stretch, stretch those. Get 7 Steps To A Pain Free Life by Dr. Robin McKenzie.
      "But the ablation could permanently take pain away forever????" Permanent nerve damage would stop the pain (but only that particular pain), but ignores the overall problem, which will get worse over time, causing other pains/problems.
      'Bad things' means, progressively more tightness, more compression, more inflammation process, more pain, more damage.
