989 withdrawn but still hold the longest bus route in Singapore from changi airport to cck int then followed by 506 which used to ply changi airport to jurong east int. Then 3rd is 858 from woodlands int to changi airport.
This is talking about the current longest svc running. 858 is currently the longest, while 989 was withdrawn 20 years ago. 506 was extended to Changi Airport, but then shortened to Bedok, then extended to Upper East Coast, until it was shortened to Serangoon a few years ago.
They should build an mrt line along it
