tbh it all depends on the people trying to counterpick you. A lot of counterpicks are people who don't have a lot of experience in the hero they play. So i've gotten MVP even against counterpicks quite a bit even bullying them sometimes by targeting them. Of course it still takes skill and strategy to outplay your counterpicks but not all hard counters automatically mean they win as you saw Betosky do. But against counterpicks that really know what they're doing, you really have to work overtime as it would be a uphill battle.

Honestly I feel for that Chang'e sometimes. It's always either two scenarios when you feel useless in early game which is either your jg is so strong that they are finishing everything before you arrive or your roamer and jg are losing so badly that you can't gank without worrying about dying to the enemy. Chang'e doesn't do much damage in early game so she is mostly just a support/reap with her slow cc, fast movement spd, and long range skills. It's not until the 4th item (including boots) that she starts to be able to burst the enemy with her ult and start securing a lot of kills by yourself.
Hmm you’re right, I’m not utilizing chang’e tower pushing capabilities enough. As one of the few mid laners with enhanced basic attack, she’s able to do lot of damage to the tower. I usually only use it when I split push as Chang’e. I should try that when I see there’s no opportunity to gank.
What i learn from watching Beto all these years are 1. Know your advantage n disadvantage 2. Don't keep using the same build. Know your enemies draft 3. Position is crucial 4. Wait for the right moment to engage 5. Never give up

I found that the hardest counter against Harley is Khaleed. With a CC and playing as a core, Harley cannot really do anything against Khaleed especially in the late game. His 2nd skill heal just makes his ult and skills does next to nothing.

I think the point is you should go defensive just in early game so you don't feed the enemies and go for damage after you have enough gold to buy your core damage items

Lol the fact that they chose two counter heroes that one shot, but their ult gets canceled by one faramis ult. The enemy chou and Moskov dashing gets countered by your Kufra tank. I honestly think your team draft was just better. Sure the build helps, but your teammates knew what they were doing too

My strategy to beat your Harley is to trick you to use your first and second skills after that I'll burst you down. Also build penetration items in the early game so that I can deal more dmg in the early game.
beto's builds: 1:arcane boots glowind wand, lightning, holy crystal, blood wings, divine glaive 2:warrior, clock of destiny, lightning, glowing wand, divine glaive, blood wings(just put counter builds for saber and nata) 3:arcane boots, clock of destiny, lightning, glowind wand, holy crystal, divine glaive. speed and magic penetration is for the emblem and magic worship (if you wanted the build and emblem)
I don't often bother tweaking my build, because not a lot of items can counter Popol and Kupa (As far as I am aware of). There'll be a few encounters where the enemy would buy 'steeless leg pants' which can counter me badly in early game. Whenever it does happen I would buy 'malefic roar' for that pene and slight dmg and 'wind of nature' depending on the enemy, while most of the time try to push. This had worked for me a lot of times, if my team is mostly focusing on ganking on the enemy, I use this to try and push.
As someone who always plays on the Midlane, when you have a competent Jg who finishes everything without your help, it makes me feel a pressure where I don't want to do something that'll make the game turn bad like feeding. And sometimes it makes me wanna go and gank the opposite lane or just push the mid before going to the opposite lane to make a change.
Betosky I also think that even if they counterattack you, you can still counterattack intelligently, but when I play Sun, the only hero I can't beat in 1 vs 1, even if I have an advantage, is Freya, a tip to counter Freya. Sorry if it's mistranslated, I speak Spanish hahaha
That Natalia was different from my roamer nata. I poked harley straight away reducing more than her half hp. Although she got her blue, her red was stolen by ally hyper delaying her farm a bit. I cudnt kill her till mid game because of her high hp build. But late game as beto said, mm, mage and harley became my food. Which we won... As nata main, harley is difficult to catch as long as she has 2nd skill unless its late game.
Yea that's what i noticed too.. Whenever i see Nata they straight invade junglers and give them a hard time especially those with low HP in the early game.. It was the worst decision not to invade and let God Beto snowball into the mid game
I recently bought Harley and this season I have 10 matchs with 100% wr with all MVPs he's a op hero. For me I would say glowing wand is a good early game item for him, the passive helps a lot with his ult.

You gained the upperhand early on, that saber has lower level and lower gold than you. Sure your adjusted build helps, but you must also clarify that to your followers or else they will also be SUPER CONFUSED once they imitate your build and still got one-shoted. Also that Saber did not rush to buy the tier-2 item that has 15pen. No wonder he's doing no damage. Lol

In match like this u don't know if you are focusing on damage or defense, which make it even harder to focus on the game
I think the point is you should go defensive just in early game so you don't feed the enemies and go for damage after you have enough gold to buy your core damage items

Lol the fact that they chose two counter heroes that one shot, but their ult gets canceled by one faramis ult. The enemy chou and Moskov dashing gets countered by your Kufra tank. I honestly think your team draft was just better. Sure the build helps, but your teammates knew what they were doing too

My strategy to beat your Harley is to trick you to use your first and second skills after that I'll burst you down. Also build penetration items in the early game so that I can deal more dmg in the early game.

I don't often bother tweaking my build, because not a lot of items can counter Popol and Kupa (As far as I am aware of). There'll be a few encounters where the enemy would buy 'steeless leg pants' which can counter me badly in early game. Whenever it does happen I would buy 'malefic roar' for that pene and slight dmg and 'wind of nature' depending on the enemy, while most of the time try to push. This had worked for me a lot of times, if my team is mostly focusing on ganking on the enemy, I use this to try and push.

As someone who always plays on the Midlane, when you have a competent Jg who finishes everything without your help, it makes me feel a pressure where I don't want to do something that'll make the game turn bad like feeding.
And sometimes it makes me wanna go and gank the opposite lane or just push the mid before going to the opposite lane to make a change.
Betosky I also think that even if they counterattack you, you can still counterattack intelligently, but when I play Sun, the only hero I can't beat in 1 vs 1, even if I have an advantage, is Freya, a tip to counter Freya.

That Natalia was different from my roamer nata. I poked harley straight away reducing more than her half hp. Although she got her blue, her red was stolen by ally hyper delaying her farm a bit. I cudnt kill her till mid game because of her high hp build. But late game as beto said, mm, mage and harley became my food. Which we won... As nata main, harley is difficult to catch as long as she has 2nd skill unless its late game.
Yea that's what i noticed too.. Whenever i see Nata they straight invade junglers and give them a hard time especially those with low HP in the early game.. It was the worst decision not to invade and let God Beto snowball into the mid game

I recently bought Harley and this season I have 10 matchs with 100% wr with all MVPs he's a op hero. For me I would say glowing wand is a good early game item for him, the passive helps a lot with his ult.

You gained the upperhand early on, that saber has lower level and lower gold than you. Sure your adjusted build helps, but you must also clarify that to your followers or else they will also be SUPER CONFUSED once they imitate your build and still got one-shoted. 1. When Nata's passive is active, layla's enhanced basic attack is still able hit Natalia, even tho her passive is active. Her passive is supposed to counter *locked* skills and *locked* basic attacks
