Thank you for the informative video. I just bought a CZ75 B as a "Welcome Home" gift for my son after he served 5 years in the USMC.
This is the best review of this pistol I’ve seen. I’m glad I snagged one up today. It was “used” for $400. The guy had if for a few weeks and traded it for a 92fs. I already have one of those and a m9a3 and I can say that cz feel amazing. I’m tempted to carry it over my p365z There’s something about this pistol.
You did great for $400.

I respectfully suggest that Allen missed something in his run down of the CZ75 pedigree, he did not mention that their pistols are made to survive the NATO torture tests. Here is a copy/paste from the CZ website discussing a related but different model's results from the NATO tests:
The pistol must be 100% reliable in extreme conditions, the following is a list of some of the minimum requirements.
Must be able to complete the following without failure:
4000 dry firings
3000 De-cockings
Operator level disassembly 1350 times with out ware or damage to components.
Complete disassembly 150 times, this is all the way down, pins, springs etc.
100% interchangability, any number of pistols randomly selected, disassembled, parts mixed and reassembled with no failures of any kind including loss of accuracy.
Safety requirements:
Drop test
1.5 meter (4.9”) drop test, this is done 54 times with the pistol loaded (blank) and the hammer cocked. Dropping the pistol on the butt, the muzzle, back of the slide, sides of the gun, top of the slide, in essence, any angle that you could drop the gun from. This is done on concrete and 0 failures are allowed! A failure is the gun firing.
3meter drop (9.8”) 5 times with the pistol loaded (blank) and the hammer cocked, This is done on concrete and 0 failures are allowed! A failure is the gun firing.
After these tests are complete the gun must fire without service.
The factory contracted an independent lab to do additional testing on guns that previously passed the drop tests. These pistol were dropped an additional 352 times without failure.
The pistol must also complete an environmental conditions test:
This means cold, heat, dust/sand and mud.
The pistol must fire after being frozen for 24 hours at -35C (-36F).
The pistol must fire after being heated for 24 hours at 70C (126F)
The pistol must fire after being submerged in mud, sand and combinations including being stripped of oil then completing the sand and mud tests again.
Service life:
The service life requirement from the Czech police was 15,000 rounds of +P ammo!
The pistol will exceed 30,000 rounds with ball 9mm.
Reliability:
The reliability requirements for the P-01 pistol are 99.8%, that’s a .2% failure rate.
This equals 20 stoppages in 10,000 rounds or 500 “Mean Rounds Between Failure” (MRBF)
During testing, the average number of stoppages was only 7 per 15,000 rounds fired, this is a .05% failure rate, a MRBF rate of 2142 rounds! Over 4 time the minimum acceptable requirement.
The U.S. Army MRBF requirement is 495 rounds for 9mm pistols with 115 grain Ball ammunition.

Actually cz75B and p01 are not the same pistol.
Never 75B passed NATO test.

I just recently got a CZ-75B and it is great! I don’t get to take it out as much as I would like to, but it’s great for learning basics and fundamentals of handgun shooting. I almost went with the SP-1 but I got a great deal for the standard B. I’ve noticed my hands really get used to the weight after a couple days of just handling it and dry firing with snap caps the store was nice enough to include with it. Great review and overview!

I’m considering this model. It feels wonderful in hand and I like the weight. Sure, it may be a little inconvenient in carrying, but it just feels right and more assertive than the carbon poly guns out there.
Great review. I purchased one of these about a year ago. I was looking at a few guns to add to the collection. I grabbed a Glock then this. Instantly this felt absolutely perfect. The Glock wasn't even in the running. Super accurate, excellent grips. even at stock. Nothing but happy as snot with this gun. I love the full steel frame too. Nice touch. You can honestly "pistol whip" someone with this guaranteed.

I have a P01 Omega that has been my EDC that has served me very well for about a year. I prefer DA/SA for carry as I prefer carry and truck guns to have a deliberate trigger. As everything is a trade-off , shooting DA to SA for follow-ups is a "training issue." Also an advantage that I found is that I use the MantisX system for dry fire practice. With a DA auto, I do not have to rack the slide for every MantisX shot and it gives me plenty practice rolling through a DA trigger and provides feedback through their app. At a range, I shoot 100 rounds monthly normally in a DA then follow on SA, decock and repeat to be used to the "trigger suddenly changing." In the better sessions, I find myself really not noticing as my focus is on the front blade and being straight back on the trigger. Mine shots POA/POI using normal weighted ammo ranges. I have not shot any light for caliber bullets through mine. Not affiliated with OE, CZ, or Mantis - a happy customer of them all.
Your review helped me decide to buy one, couldn't buy it from you, since I live in Belgium ;) , but this gun is perfect, bought it for the high price of 799, but it's totally worth it, I put a lot of value in reliable guns, and this really seems like one of those so far

Since 1993 there has not been a country called Czechoslovakia. It's now two separate countries called Czeck Republic (where CZ's are made) and Slovakia.

The Cz75b omega is a great pistol a bargain for a all steel pistol mine is four years old never had any problems with it has the best feeling grip on the market.
I have the CZ 75B in matte stainless, it’s my favorite pistol. I’m getting CZ Shadow 2 next.

Honestly, one of my favourite guns to shoot in that price range. And surprisingly cheap in Germany, one of the cheapest full size 9mm pistols around, yet formidable quality.
Probably going to get either this or a HK USP variant as my first own.
It's a cheap gun, not surprise...

8:49 Jeff Cooper was also a co-designer of the Bren Ten, which was based on the CZ 75. The gun that made famous by Don Johnson in Miami Vice.
I own a cz75 b omega mine came with 2 17 round magazines. I love it.
I've had a CZ85 for 30+ years and this review was spot on. Well done. A lot of info in 12 minutes, but if you replay the takedown sequence, it's all there. Great job!
I have a 75B Omega non-convertible and it is a great gun. I’m a CZ guy and the P09 and P07 are my main pistols.
You can become ultrafan, if you write the company logo properly: ČZ. The č stands for CZ-ech, and the Z stands for arms company. You can notice the company logo is written with this symbol " ˇ " in the upper side. It is typicaly czech to use this in order to write soft syllables. I will give some examples for english.
english - ingliš (we do not pronounce one letter in 3 different ways)
george - žorž
New York - njú jork (single line means longer sound, J is not Jason, but Iason.)
chicken - čiken
treshold - trežold

CZ75B One of the nicest 9mm pistols I handled, it was on the top of my purchase list, until they banned them 🇬🇧 here 🙈
always like you reviews. have a very nice shooting CZ 75 B is actually smoother than my SIG M11A 1 which is almost double the price of the CZ. I tend to be of the old school who prefers steel over
'plastic".I do have a Glock 19x that I shoot on occasion. in Vietnam I would have preferred my m-14 over my m-16 but that wasn't going to happen, but being a Marine we are taught to ADAPT and OVERCOME...semper fi do or die.....RAH!!!

7:00 good counsel about using the decocker feature (thinking about Wathers and SiGs) learned something new regarding the falability of lowering the hammer manually resting directly onto the firing pin !
I guess that if it's not safe to lower the hammer manually, then it's not advisable to cock the hammer manually either. If your thumb slips, what happens?
@@Zoco101 If your thumb slips on the cocking stroke nothing unsafe the hammer face will fall short of striking the firing pin because its designed to be thumb cocked. However when the hammer is at full cock and the operator is lowering it by easing it forward while the trigger has been depressed to release the sear so it is possible to strike the firing pin and unintentionally discharge because the linkage has been set to fire mode. Be careful, its just like with a double action revolver. Use a finger of your support hand between the hammer and rear of the slide or revolver frame, and better yet pich the spur of the hammer with the forefinger and thum b of the suppoet hand while lowering the hammer. Decockers make the process foolproof by inhibiting the final contact of the hammer face with the firing pin. I have an 85B which is cocked and locked safety condition 1, and wish that a decocker mode could be added. Must take care.

7:37 I know that it's safer, but this gun is so easy to lower the hammer with only one hand. It makes me addicted to doing that.
I love cz 75 I believe if they brought it back into production it would sell well such a beautiful looking gun please bring it back cz i want one brand new

The all steel is why I'm looking at this or the new Springfield SA-35. If CZ made the P01 in all steel that would be the one.
You might be better off with the cz. The sa35 is having some extractor problems. I was interested in the Springfield, but I’m going with the cz now.
@@StevenSmith-pt8rz By the time the Springfield can be had at a normal price I doubt there will be any issues lol. Also I now see that there is another brand of this style pistol, one of those from Turkey I think.
Turkey from what I have heard makes a lot of replicas of classic firearms. From the reviews I have watched and read they have been good. Good luck and enjoy.😀

Yeah! I’d say, They were going for 800 and up not long ago.
The Omega have another trigger mechanism than the regular CZ 75.

A better pistol than the Springfield Armory SA-35 in my opinion. The CZ can be found for $549 vs. $699 for the SA-35.
