I love this style of video so much! It’s so helpful! I’ve made some changes to my Sephora cart based on your demonstrations! I totally agree about the Pat baked special shades. I honestly think there are problems sourcing the materials. It makes me so nervous for the next Mothership! I adore Pat palettes…I adore Natasha Denona palettes… it’s love vs love. There are no wrong choices! (I’ve even come around to Natasha’s cream to powder shadows since I’ve figured out how to use them!)
I love the straight up honesty. You let us know what's good and not and why. I just started watching you but I think you have similar color and skin type as me so I am super excited. I would love to see more and more foundation and concealer videos because you said you have combo skin! thanks so much! You do a good explanation without it feeling drawn out or rushed.
Although Pat is more expensive, I actually like Natasha Denona eyeshadows better, mostly for her colour stories, shimmers and also the fact that you get so much more shades in an ND palette for half the price in the midi palettes. I find Pat palettes are less user friendly, as in more for those who are versed in makeup rather than someone who is a beginner.
Love this video! I prefer Pat's shadows over ND any day. I love her more artistically calculated color stories and her formulas can't be beat. I love both brands but love PM more. I can't wait to see what her next mothership will be like. It's just unfortunate she most likely won't be doing the old special shade formula.

The best ND special shades are the KKs from the Gold palette! She needs to bring that formula back. It surpasses the Glam face and eye palette and is up there with the classic PML toppers.
Great vid! I'd love to see you compare Tom Ford, Natasha and Lisa Eldridge, specifically the creamy mats. Ease of use, creasing and wear time wd be good to know as these could be the ultimate everyday shadows. xxxx

I think I have to go checkout the TF concealer I currently using good apple KVD and I like it but I am having issues under my right eye with 2 pesky creases no matter what I use it is like they appeared over night, joys of aging. I saw a YT video and she has a technique of setting the under eye with a puff so I think I might give that a go, she said that care needs to be taken that we don't set the crease which is maybe what I am doing 😊
I think u are right, Pat takes it home thanks to her special shades. Not only are they different, they are also extra sparkly🎉. But, I do think that the packaging is as well why she wins. The box litteraly reminds everyone (??😊) of a gold bar! And the round pans are a win too. I love that smooth circular motion as I pick the product up 😍. Personally, I think that adds a whole lot to the idea of luxury. Would love to know if you agree there, Martina 😊!
Completely agree the ND glam face palette has a lovely sparkly shimmer formula and she needs to use it in other palettes. I tend to avoid ND as I want more shazam sparkly eyeshadow but if she combined it with her excellent mattes more I would jump at it. So many good points in this video and I love the format of this even down to the time stamps.
I own two mothership palettes since last year - Bronze Seduction and Midnight Sun - and they are the most difficult matte formula to blend within my entire (vast for an average consumer) collection. Every time I pick one up I am frustrated. I do own the Natasha Denona 28 pans since they came out and they STILL hold up as one of the best formulas on the market. Just my 2 cents.
I have a lot of Pat McGrath eyeshadows, and even more Natasha Denona. I much prefer the ease of application (and blend- ability) of Natasha Denona. I agree that ND does not have the same kinds of “special shades,” but in reality, I hardly ever have occasion to use those PM shades, anyway. Also, I am so sick of Pat McGrath coming out with palettes that look nearly identical to each other. (How many rose, gold, and burgundy shades do we need?) I am very pleased to hear what you said about her all matte palette, however. I passed on it, because the shades looked so similar to other Pat McGrath matte shades I already own. If they are really more blendable than her previous matte formula, I may try to pick up the matte palette on sale. Thanks!
Oh no, I would definitely not like this Saie foundation. I have never boarded the glowy train. I like my matte. Not super matte, but I don't like all over glow. And to be honest....I don't like it on other people either. A little bit of glow can look lovely, but I don't like the 'I rubbed butter on my face' look. I don't understand why people call that healthy looking. I agree the Haus Labs side looks so much better on you.

Natashas shimmers are really pretty but always “polite”, whereas Pat has more quiet color stories but the special shades are Disco special!
