    Praise God. My makita battery does not charge and 0 volts already for few months. Today, I jump start it by connecting a 20 volt well battery (same type of voltage) to the positive ang negative side of the damage battery. In just 2 minutes it becomes too hot and i stop it (pls stop if hotter-i did it with opened casing), then check the voltage of 4 volts. I let it cool and I charge it but it doesnt charge. I did it again in front of a fan for 1.5 minutes (It becomes hot then i stop it before its realy hot). I let it cool and voltage is about 8volts. I charge it and praise God it charges slowly up to full charge for some time. Thank you Lord. I ordered a makita 5-battery pcb board, but i cancelled it. Wow praise. I really want to take video to help others but i did not expect it will work. Just be careful in repairing. Pray always.😊

    Don’t use cheap chargers this problem is caused by not using genuine Makita chargers.
    I don’t know if the battery is really damaged or it’s just a feature by Makita to stop all the cooping of their products.
    Have the same problem but don’t know if it’s fixable or I need to replace the bms!?

    Had the same problem. I just banged the 5ah on a solid surface to remove all the dust from grinding out mortar. After a few minutes of hitting/ removing dust, i didn't touch the battery test button and just put it in the charger. Worked fine since

    same here, all cells are reading charged over 19 v total, this is the second battery that done this both bought at same time. makes me wonder if they have a cut off date built into them, these are 6 years old though, not everyday use on them. I took it apart and all cells are balanced, and charged, slight corrosion, I don't see anything wrong, hope someone knows why these do this, I can't find much info only here so far.

      Same issue here. 2 6Ah batteries, different dates, both started flashing and are bricked. Tested cells on one: All balanced, and above 3V. Did you find any solution? This makes we want to leave Makita, especially since thy are just too ignorant to offer any solution and/or information an batteries which most likely are just fine from a cell-perspective.

    I had the same thing happen to two of my batteries what I did to fix it is the same way you change the annoying tunes when your battery is done charging . But you keep sliding the battery in and out of the charger quickly until the charger excepts the battery . I think it took like 20 -25 slides it fix two of my batteries . I hope this helps because there was nothing on TH-cam on how to fix this problem

    Aconteceu comigo, sempre carreguei minhas bateria em um carregado lento, porém resolvi carregar em um carregador rapido, antes de completar a carga o carregador ficou alertamdo problema na bateria, semelhante ao alerta do vídeo, segundo vi em alguns comentários umas das soluções foi ficar inserindo a a bareria no mesmo caregador rapido(esses que faz um som informativo) segundo aguns comentários resolveu inserindo muitas tentativas porem eu inseri e removi 3 vezes no carregor rápido e entao ela parou de piscar, em seguida volteltei a tentar carregar no carregador lendo, entao testei nas minhas maquinas porem elas nao ligavam com essa bateria em específico, minha salvação foi uma maquina da mesma 18v antiga que de serta forma ligou com essa bateria então as outras maquinas novas voltam a funciar com a mesma bateria. Minha bareria é 5an.

      The battery cells are unbalanced. Wire two batteries together + to + - to - and leave it for half an hour, it should equalise the cell voltage and work fine. You could also use a cheap non makita charger that doesn't use the functionality of that yellow terminal and it would fix it too. Makita chargers have so many protections and lockout modes for batteries and stop the batteries from charging or discharging

    • @mr_r_soul7068
      @mr_r_soul7068 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @RodrigoCambrussi I'm not actually sure but I don't think it would work with 12v. A 18v battery is not actually 18v fully charged, it's 20.4v. I believe minimum discharge is somewhere around 16v and makita chargers won't usually charge a battery with really low cell voltage. Your best bet would be another 18v battery, a step up converter, or an rc car battery charger first set on nicad for 10 minutes at low amps then switch to lithium ion on high amps until the makita charger accepts it
