Thanks James. It is similar to the Feather AC, but the latter is stiffer and sharper imo. I find that it can be very aggressive if not handled carefully, and can be very unforgiving. For now I'm keeping things mild in terms of blade. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great shave Ronnie. I also shave my head. I've been using the non-folding Feather SS Razor. You're right the Artist Club Pro blades are really unforgiving. I've been using the ProGuard blades for the head shaves. Really easy and so far no cuts or nicks.
Great shave Ronnie! I should try head shaving with my shavette, though I think it will end up being a blood bath. Really liked your intro and ending as well.... Very smooth! 😊 All the best my friend, Con
Thanks for the video! I've been shaving my head for two weeks now and I've been too scared to use a straight or shavette. I've been playing with a DE razor (Parker Variant), an ATX head-blade, and even with the new Leaf razor on my head, but I've had a Dovo for years that I've used on my face and I always liked how light it was. I felt that I could actually feel my face through the razor because of the lack of weight. I think I'll try shaving my head with the Dovo after watching this video. I agree about angle control with the DE. My Parker is 110 grams and I start to lose angle control as my fingers cramp towards the end of my shave. The Parker is just too heavy with a too clumsy, and bulky feeling head to let sit on my scalp without any kind of guidance during a pass. Also, I have no idea why your shave is better after a few more days. Maybe enough of your hair is exposed and standing for a close cut versus shorter stubble slipping under a blade?
Doug Smith thanks for the feedback. I agree that the longer whiskers make it easier for the razor to slip underneath. If your on FB and haven’t already, join us in Shavette World
Subscribed right away! I am a head shaver too but i use DE. I tried shaving my head twice with an AC SS and the first time i got a decent shave but a lot of irritation and the second time i cut myself. I really like feather se blades because they are stiffer and for me a lot smoother, i only shave my face with the AC SS and i get really good results. Now i am into slant razors for my head and is going pretty well. I too get a lot of irritation on the back of my head if i am looking for a bbs shave but i learned to just leave that area non bbs. I am really looking forward to get the Mongoose razor because i think the se feather blades are the ones that my skin can handle. I am looking forward to watch more of your videos!
Good to find your channel Ronnie. Nice quality video. Have to check out some your other vids...
Thanks Randy. Good to see you sir.
Great job on that head shave! That longer blade for the black insert looks similar to the Feather Pro Artist Club type

I've never tried the Pro Guard blades. Thanks for watching.

All the best my friend,

Thanks Con. Really it's not that difficult. I rather dislike my abrupt music sans fade in or out. Maybe I'll get that sorted out for the next one.

Wow. First pass against the grain. I go with the grain on first pass
reptilianskin with my head I can be more flexible.
I use Headblade for my head, but this looks interesting!
I use Head Blade as well. HB is much faster. Variety in both face and head shaves for me.
Lookin good Ronnie! Didn't know you were part chipmunk.
Thanks Chris
