Few days after this tragedy, being a Standard 7 in Primary School, I wrote a composition titled 'The Fatal Crash' capturing it aptly. I scored 39/40 and it became the talk of school. It dawned on me that I could write - I still do, at law school, today.

I lived in Gikambura back then. I was in church that morning. I refused to believe the bad weather theory because from Gikambura one can see the entire Kibiku, Ngong hills area. While there was no sun, there was no mist, no fog, nothing. I concluded then that it was a murder even though I had no other facts, apart from the weather.

There were so many loopholes in the investigation of this matter, and in the words of Allan Namu, 'the fact that there was no conclusive report, and it was the head of National Security of a country who died, really speaks volumes of how things are done in this country.'
Anyways, when all is said and done, no being in humanity shall escape the consequences of their choices and actions. Either they are open about it, or it haunts them massively to death.
Rest in Peace Prof George Saitoti.

This guy used to wear a bullet proof vest everytime but was still assassinated and when his family really pushed to know what happened, they tapped on George saitoti son's story that he was not theirs, just so that they can silence saitoti's wife and for that story to end, saitoti's wife had to comply and count her loses

Until we have an independent body to conduct such cases in Kenya, political assassinations will never get solved. But this was no accident, no matter what the government may want you to think. I mean how does the government investigates itself? And the endless commissions formed in cases where there's a national disaster, I mean, they achieve nothing and most of those reports never see the light of day, and those that do, no sane Kenyan will accept them as the gospel. RIP Saitoti we'll always remember you.

If it was an accident the govt wants you to believe, thats what the investigators will tell you.
