Seeing Claudia doing lifts was a really treat indeed, and no tricks with there being plenty of it being in hold. I do think their height difference does make their hold a tad awkward, but they really are in sync and make it work. I would give them a 9, partially because it is Halloween.

Damn it, it's happened again. It's the repeat of G&G - Halloween Week, Inappropriate Song Choice, Somehow Nailing It & Making It Work and now I absolutely love and I'm totally rooting for them. I even want AJ back next year, which I was not saying a week ago.

I would have liked her to stay on the floor more. however those lifts were executed very well and I think there isn't that much she could have done to improve. I would give this a 10
Why is this a 'poor song choice'? They often use pop songs (lots of dire, drippy 80s love songs come to mind) yet everyone is complaining about this pretty standard, catchy pop number here?! Think people just don't like to hear new music on the show :P
The issue here I think is that it doesn't really fit the dance- it's a perfectly inoffensive number in and of itself but it's all wrong for an American Smooth (though I don't think AJ's choreography matched up well to the music- it's a good routine but you could do it to just about any tune with that time signature).
This is proof that just because someone is a gymnast that doesn't mean that they are naturally great dancers....compare claudia to laurie hernandez on dwts and you'll see the difference...claudia isn't great but laurie is

Very bad song! I also thought she could of put more performance into it (but that's just my opinion) I'm no dance except but her footwork looked clean, she's definitely a very good dancer, could see her in the final.. 8/10

Her best dance yet, the arms were very fluid and AJ threw in some great content. Darcy is right she does sometimes look down, but a well deserved 9.
